Wearing a face mask is still advised for use on public transport and in healthcare settings to protect against #COVID19.
Anyone who wishes to continue wearing masks should not be discouraged from doing so.

This week sees the launch of 6 new Public Health areas, each led by newly appointed Consultants in Public Health and aligned to Slaintecare areas. First step on the journey to transforming our Public Health service to deliver better health and health services for our population.
So pleased for my colleague, @AnneOConnorhse. Anne has accepted a new role as MD, VHI Health & Wellbeing. A big loss for the HSE but a fantastic role for Anne. Anne has led in many senior & specialist roles in her career in healthcare to date and will continue to do so @HSELive
1,625 Covid positive patients in hospital now is causing huge stress on the healthcare system. We need to turn this tide again asap & repeat doing the basics. Please wear your mask appropriately, come forward for your booster or primary vaccine & isolate if symptoms. @HSELive
If you had #COVID19 over 3 months ago it might be time for you to receive a booster dose.

•Have a high-risk medical condition
•Are immunocompromised
2/2 This week, we open the programme to those over 30 years and some categories of children aged 5-11. Take your first opportunity to get a booster and protect yourself against the Omicron variant. Details of all options available on https://t.co/0Hrs9j5b0C.
Just finished chairing a call of the HSE National Emergency Management Team. The safety of our patients, the public & our staff remains paramount. There will be some cancellations to services in high risk areas. Please see https://t.co/hQXLAsiars for details. @HSELive#StormBarra
If you have NO symptoms of #COVID19 antigen tests may be used as an additional protective measure
➕antigen test - isolate & get a PCR test
➖antigen test - you may still have the virus; keep up other protective measures
Symptoms- isolate & get PCR

With almost 20,000 cases in the last fortnight, incidence of #COVID19 is increasing.
However, there is much we can do to protect ourselves & one another; get vaccinated; isolate & get tested if symptomatic (even if vaccinated); wear a mask; meet outdoors; ventilate indoor spaces
Super excited for the introduction of the Single Sign-on Project.
Small steps with huge benefits for staff towards standardised digital platforms in healthcare

People should take a vaccine when it is offered to them and in the meantime they should continue to avoid crowds, limit contacts, avoid meeting up indoors and work from home where possible.
It is really important that people who are not fully vaccinated continue to follow all public health advice. This includes people who are waiting for their second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
