@blowdart@jcase@kcappleguy Pics please. :)
I was also considering that some of my siblings were as cute as the rest but have, shall we say, more sockets than limbs. I'm dubious that the sign-holders are enthusiastic about that possibility.
@jcase@kcappleguy@blowdart As a person with multiple adoptive siblings, 100% agree. At best that sign is a fantasy for them (we like the idea of a cute infant). Adopting well takes work both before and after the adoption.
@jsnover Wow! Best of luck in whatever you're doing next. Our paths don't often cross these days, but beginning when I was a new PM it's always been great when they did.
Happy Pride! Spending it cleaning up after our daughter's birthday party... and considering how to usefully channel anger about what we intend to explain tomorrow: she has fewer rights now than she did Thursday.
Living in Washington is a panacea, not a solution.
Today is Juneteenth. In recognition of its significance, we are dimming the lights of our Public Market Center Clock & Sign to show only BLM.
#PikePlaceMarket was created and built to serve everyone in our community.

@CrispinCowan0@hacks4pancakes I'm good for about 48 hours before I get to that point. During my last trip I conceived a business that would be a boon to conference goers: a cafe with no music, no flashing lights, lots of plants, wood, white, no raucous conversation. I'd call it "Quiet" and stick it in MGM.
@ericlaw Tbh that sounds like a thing you could teach but kind of sucky for the dog. Hopefully it also gets to go run outside for sniffing and socialization.
@ThreddyRex Maybe for more junior roles. Senior TPM long-term thinking may look short term but IMO it is not. A Thing needs to get done. Executing it may take only 6 months but it's part of a long term strategy.
Prioritization is deciding which of the long-term needs come first.
“My husband swears he saw Ms. Lewis at Ace yesterday afternoon!” one woman wrote. “He saw the Maryland plates and the driver looked just like her.”

@mrbillyanders @JoshLuedeman I would also ask my friend what their plans were, if this is a long-term commitment or a short one. And if short what's their plan to pivot back.
@mrbillyanders @JoshLuedeman I would ensure my friend knew what they were paying for the truck. Because they will: in time, or self-respect, or missed opportunities. And hopefully the truck has more in it than money (something to learn/experience).
They may be fine with the price. But they should know it.
