@jon_d_doe I saw a video of a lady celebrating her almost 14-year-old daughter who went outside the gate to buy toothpaste as it was her first. Shouting "oh my daughter is a big girl now". Talking about how she was scared. I mean she went to a place that is less than 2 minutes walk 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

@eezharhh So sad that what they are concerned about is you while they have completely refused to see that a thief is living with them. A whole thief is in your house, yet it is the one who calls out the behaviour that is the bad person.

It is inherent in humans to feed on the weak or fearful. So, when a customer realises this in you, they will push more buttons till they see the limits you can go. Speak with a firm tone and if you can't at the moment, politely drop the call and offer a call back.

As one who has worked closely with CX, here are two ways to do handle your job effectively.

1. Become an actor. Let me explain really quickly.

You see how actors wear their character's personality just to deliver the script and do a great job, yeah?

2. Learn to speak firmly. Ah!!! When handling people you need all the confidence. The moment a customer or client senses fear as you speak, they will feed on that and Lord help you at that moment.

This is also how you as a CX needs to work. Customers or clients can be too much some times but knowing that their words ain't thrown at you but on the character in the job helps you deliver on the job and not get hurt by them.

This is how you also wear the character of your job and do a great job. Like those actors, no matter how you insult the character they don't bother because they know that character isn't them, they were only acting.
