A Their claim is not only wrong, their lobby for Bt/ GM is scandalous.
Turkey does not grow genetically modified (Bt) cotton, yet it consistently achieves one of the highest cotton yields in the world, averaging between 1,500 and 1,900 kilograms of lint per hectare.

The country relies on pure-line varieties , developed by Turkish agricultural research institutes.

The EU does not grow genetically modified Bt cotton yet achieves an average yield of about *1,000 to 1,800 kilograms per hectare*. This relatively high productivity - often outperforming global rain-fed averages

The claim and the underlying message that Bt cotton alone can increase the cotton yield is questionable.
