To what purpose, April, do you return again?
Beauty is not enough.
You can no longer quiet me with the redness
Of little leaves opening stickily.
I know what I know.
Edna St Vincent Millay
Hello all! We are sad to announce that all events for the month of April have been postponed due to COVID-19 fears. We will, however, still be posting films next month so stay tuned for exciting content! Art will keep us together in these scary times!
Chilly overcast day in NYC and we’re thinking about all the art made about overcast days. Isn’t it cool how we can glean such meaning from the way the clouds settle in the sky?
But also the point of this is why not celebrate by reading some poetry by Mexican writers? Gary Soto and Sandra Cisneros are both a start but why stop there? Bonus points if you read a poem in Spanish. Try it- you may understand more than you think!
