At 9:40 AM on 24 December 2025, the Thai military fired artillery shells into a Cambodian civilian area in Koun Trei Village (near National Road No. 5), Koub Commune, Ou Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province, resulting in two civilians, including one child, sustaining serious injuries. Cambodian Ministry of National Defence reported a series of Thai military attacks on Cambodian territory on Wednesday (Dec. 24), involving artillery shelling and fighter jet airstrikes in multiple provinces.

According to the ministry, at 10:28 a.m., Thai forces fired 26 artillery shells into Sampov Laun Commune, Sampov Laun district, Battambang province, damaging Chan Deang Pagoda.

At 11:00 a.m., Thai fighter jets dropped four bombs in Srei Snam district, Siem Reap province.

From 12:15 p.m. to 12:26 p.m., Thai forces deployed T-50TH fighter jets to drop cluster bombs in Slor Kram commune, Svay Chek district, Banteay Meanchey province.

Later, at 2:02 p.m., a Thai T-50TH fighter jet dropped one bomb in Banan district, Battambang province.

The brutal actions above are indiscriminate attacks by the Thai military, a serious violation of international law.

Cambodian forces continue to retaliate fiercely and monitor the situation closely and remain highly vigilant.

From 6:00 PM on 22 December until 6:00 PM on 23 December 2025,

the Thai military continued to deploy F-16 fighter aircraft and fire various types of munitions into civilian areas. The primary impacts are as follows:

- In Preah Vihear Province, seven civilian houses were damaged.

- In Banteay Meanchey Province, one civilian house and two road sections were damaged.

- In Oddar Meanchey Province, one civilian house was damaged.

- In Battambang Province, one government office building was damaged.
