Personally, as someone who was deployed to the Woke 1 wars in 2014, i take full responsibility for what it ended up looking like a decade later. "It's not my job to educate you" was actually the most insane, detrimental and endlessly parroted line of that early Woke 1 era
@fisherking360 I was absolutely entertained by what WAS shown. Pinecone aegon you will always be famous to me. But likeโฆ where was the rest? I donโt want to exclusively laugh at/see this character shoved in the mud as a 1D punishment for his life to date bc thatโs so dull, grand scheme!
My goats of the season were helaena, rhaenyra, ormund, and gwayne. My let downs were Aegon and Larys, but I had the highest hopes for something more introspective to the tune of s2 with them and wanted to be rewarded for the intimate conversations they had around disability
For a dynamic set up to show the cruelties of the world up close, we didnโt get to see the impact of them. Larys got almost nothing to work with. All the shine came from the actor not the writing. They had the same roadblock all season and rarely did their circumstance deepen it
Thatโs hardly the pace I actually expected from s3, and the actors really sold their moments/put 120% behind what they had to work with, but they had the most โtreading waterโ in a plot that begged them to run and faced little humanizing consequence when they could not.
Look okay nothing will fanfic-ify the writing like Yellowjackets s3. That wound is FESTERING. One of the most baffling instances of trash and treasure going into a blender and coming out slop ive ever seen
