CAN WE TONE DOWN ON THE GOLD PLEASE?!

Way back in 2023, the Congress party in Telangana promised ONE TULA (10 gms) gold to women getting married.

This was supposed to be in addition to the one lakh given to economically weaker section of Telangana by the then BRS government for their daughter’s marriage.

So - it was supposed to be ONE TULA GOLD + ONE LAKH

Guess how many eligible women got this? NOT ONE!!! Even the one lakh financial assistance is not being done.

Today, Telangana Congress leaders conveniently tell people that gold prices have gone up so much that they cannot do it anymore.

I see that TVK Chief Vijay is showering women voters with similar promises. He wants to gift One Sovereign gold (8gms), silk saree for every weaker section woman getting married.

Most of TVK Chief Vijay’s promises seem to have been inspired by Telangana Congress’s six guarantees. These guarantees only have wrecked the economy of Telangana. Most aren’t even fulfilled.

I wish the intelligent women of Tamil Nadu not fall for such nonsensical promises. Even the free bus scheme is a farce.

Am surprised how everyone is okay with promises of Gold being offered to women. Isn’t this election bribe? And most importantly a false promise.

I remember when former Tamil Nadu CM Karunanidhi offered colour TVs to voters it became a nationwide debate. Today gold, silver, sun, moon and the stars are being promised and no one bats an eyelid anymore!
