@churchscotland How very sad to read you have “retired”
this site. You have done this to obviously avoid criticism of all that’s going wrong with all your projects. I will continue holding your feet to the fire on your other platforms!
@churchofscotland - yes it’s more prepared than ever to care for their buildings! YES by closing hundreds of well kept churches & amalgamating congregations who don’t want to be amalgamated!! Get a grip!
The Church of Scotland is better prepared than ever to care for its many buildings.
However, a new and simplified system is needed to ensure early repair, prompt action, and better use of finite funds.

Yet another red taped bureaucratic appointment - pen pushers - paper manufacturers reign supreme. More churches will be sold off proving the devil is alive & well in the Church of Scotland!
A minister has formally been appointed as the new Principal Clerk to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. #GA2026#Church https://t.co/z0uLfPpiGs
@churchscotland has The CoS lost its marbles? It has apologised 4 the suffering caused by the slave trade! Does the Very Rev Sally Fulton not realise that it was the Brits who were 1 of the first countries in the world to abolish slavery. Wake up Sally Fulton & accept the truth.
@churchscotland what other Church or company would be allowed by law to run up losses of £14.5 million and still b trading? The Church of Scotland’s Scots Hotel Tiberius is all
but in name bust! Why has it taken all these years to realise this? Time to sell it!
@churchscotland who was responsible 4 allowing in the last 10 years the CoS 2 run up massive losses & debts well over £20 million relating 2 its Scots Hotel in Israel. If this was a business it would b closed down with the Directors charged with trading under false pretences!
@churchscotland unbelievable - The Church of Scotlands Scots Hotel in Israel has losses of £3 million and rising! Total accumulated losses equal over £14 million - with tax losses of £18.3 million plus a £10 million loan still unpaid. If this was a business it would b bankrupted.
@churchscotland Context is everything - these figures are incorrect - only last year were told Gen Z were attending the Church of Scotland - this was totally incorrect / the churn is “away” from increasing congregations. As more & more churches close people
leave & are lost forever!
