The City of Alliance announced that there will be a scheduled power outage on Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Following is a list of areas that will be affected:
Grand-even side-from 10th to 14th Streets
Potash-odd side-from 10th to 12th Streets
Hudson-even side-from 10th to 12th Streets
North side of E 14th-from Sweetwater to Duncan-The Countryside Apartments

The Alliance Public Library will be honoring Women’s History Month by hosting a program by Deb Carpenter-Nolting & Lyn Messersmith titled, “Well-Behaved Women Seldom Make History”. The program is scheduled for Fri, March 11th at 7 pm in the Alliance Public Library Community Room.
The more than 165 available speakers include acclaimed scholars, writers, musicians, storytellers and folklorists on topics ranging from pioneer heritage to ethics and law to international and multicultural issues, making it the largest humanities speakers bureau in the nation.
Box Butte County RSVP will be hosting a mobile food pantry in conjunction with NCAP and Food bank for the Heartland on Wednesday Feb 23rd starting at 4pm This program distributes food to families in Alliance, serving 1 distribution per household. Free to the public.
If you are unable to drive thru to pick up your food, please call Public Transit to make your delivery request by 4 pm on Feb 22nd by calling Paige at (308) 762-1907. Please note there are only 15 spots available for deliveries. Deliveries are on a first come first serve basis.
