Rodeo season is coming. Gallup's rodeo season is primarily in the summer, including the Gallup Lions Club Rodeo in June, Best of the Best Timed Event Rodeo in late June, WildThing Championship Bullriding in July, and Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial Rodeo in August.

Church Rock is a prominent sandstone formation, known for its distinctive spire that resembles a steeple. Red Rock Park's features massive cliffs of Jurassic Entrada Sandstone & rocks from the Morrison & Dakota Formations, shaped by millions of years of erosion from wind & rain.
Pyramid Rock is composed mainly of Late Jurassic-aged Morrison Formation sandstone that layered on top of other formations, like Zuni Sandstone. It is the remnant of a volcanic flow, sculpted by wind & rain over millions of years. There's a 3-mile round-trip hike to the summit.

Originally the El Morro stage was surrounded by a large Reuter organ used both for movies and vaudeville. The organ was moved out of the theatre in the 1950s and relocated to Las Cruces, then relocated again in 1996 to the original manufacturer, where it was fully restored.
Established in 1913, Richardson Trading Post is a historic trading post and pawn shop on historic #Route66 . The business is on the National Register of Historic Places. It is known for its extensive selection of authentic Native American arts and crafts.

The Navajo Code Talkers were U.S. Marines who developed an unbreakable code using the Navajo language during World War II. The first 29 Code Talkers trained at Fort Wingate and deployed from the Gallup railroad depot. The code was instrumental in Allied victories in the Pacific.
