Mathematicians should embrace AI tech and explore how to further accelerate our knowledge and vast potential for advanced maths to transform our world and understanding of our universe for the better or stay in the bedroom and cry.
If you think AI agents can negotiate without human direction and oversight, good luck.
Autonomy without boundaries is called loss of control.
Let agents move, but keep the mandate visible and human intervention ready when the negotiation moves beyond it.
Microblog @antgrasso
Take a procurement agent negotiating with the agent of a supplier.
It can adjust delivery dates or discounts within an agreed mandate. Fine.
But the mandate is only the starting point.
If the negotiation moves toward a condition the agent was not authorized to accept, someone needs to see it and be able to take over.
That does not mean a human must approve every move. Otherwise, autonomy disappears.
It means the organization knows where the agent can act and when human judgment must return. After the agreement, people should also be able to reconstruct why it was reached.
Let the agents negotiate. Keep humans in command of the authority they delegate.
Autonomy should reduce human intervention, not human responsibility.

Leadership is shifting toward shared responsibility, trust, and purpose, where people connect across roles and contribute with autonomy and care. This view invites organizations to grow through collaboration and transparency, creating lasting value.

Blockchain is known for immutability and transparency, and much of that comes from the distributed ledger, where accepted history is shared.
Several parties can refer to a verified version, making the record easier to check w/out relying on 1 central copy.
Microblog @antgrasso
A distributed ledger keeps copies of the same record across multiple participants.
When a new transaction is proposed, the network applies agreed rules to determine whether it can be accepted. If it is, the update becomes part of the shared history across the ledger.
Changing a past record on one copy does not rewrite what the other participants already hold. They can still verify the agreed history.
This makes accepted blockchain records difficult to alter without the change being detected.
Transparency does not mean that everyone can see everything. Depending on the blockchain, access can be restricted while authorized participants can still verify the history available to them.
A distributed ledger therefore reduces reliance on a single master record controlled by one participant.
Several parties can share and verify the same history without giving one of them sole control over it.

Telemedicine is becoming part of everyday care for chronic conditions, making it easier for patients to connect with doctors.
With remote monitoring and visits, treatments can be adjusted quickly, helping people manage their health with less disruption.
Rt @antgrasso.
A simple thank you can change how people feel at work. When appreciation is clear and sincere, daily effort becomes visible, trust grows, and people bring more care into what they do. Small signs of gratitude help teams stay connected.

26 years ago today, in Suzuka, Michael brought the title back to Maranello after 21 years. Thank you to Michael and to everyone at the Scuderia who made that day possible. A memory I will always cherish. 🏆
💥Al Is Changing the Pace-and Pressure-of Mathematical Discovery
💥Three @MIT computer scientists rushed to publish a major mathematical result after hearing that #OpenAl might soon announce a related Al-generated proof.
➗Their #breakthrough concerned the limits of computation: even when a perfect solution exists, finding an acceptable approximation can remain extraordinarily difficult.
➗The researchers proved a related 4-to-1 games result. They were racing to establish recognition for their work before an Al announcement potentially overshadowed it.
💥"They solved the problem in the old-tashioned way, with their minds, and wrote it with their own fingers." —Ryan O'Donnell, Carnegie Mellon University
💥This raises a consequential question: As Al accelerates discovery, how do we preserve rigorous review, scientific credit, and the human understanding developed through years of experimentation and failure?
"You are human, right? You need to sleep, you need to eat, you have moods," he said.
"You don't know if you're going to get scooped by the trillion-dollar company."

Your applications need to work together, but they do not all need to talk to each other; microsegmentation helps enforce that difference.
It keeps necessary connections open while reducing the paths an attacker can use if one workload is compromised.
Microblog by @antgrasso
An order-processing application needs to check stock in an inventory database. Does it also need a connection to payroll?
Probably not.
Microsegmentation lets you allow the first connection and block the second. These rules apply to workloads, such as running applications or services, even when they share the same infrastructure.
Now suppose an attacker takes control of the order application.
With those rules enforced, the direct route to payroll remains blocked. The inventory connection remains permitted because the application needs it to do its job.
Fewer routes for the attacker. Not zero.
Moving from a compromised system to other systems is called lateral movement. Microsegmentation limits those opportunities, but permitted connections can still carry risk. The original compromise still needs a response.
The work begins before restrictions are enforced. Map the connections your applications need and test the rules with the teams running them. You need to preserve the communication that keeps the business working.
A connection should exist because the work requires it, not because nobody thought to block it.

The new @Jaguar Type 01 is here, powered by NVIDIA.
Under its stunning design is NVIDIA Hyperion, the computer and sensor platform that takes in everything the car sees and senses, then helps it make smart decisions in real time.
It’s paired with NVIDIA Halos, a safety system that covers everything from the chips to the software. Before reaching the road, Type 01's software passed 150,000 tests over tens of thousands of hours.
And with over-the-air updates, it’ll keep getting better long after it leaves the showroom.
Our own Ali Kani and Rishi Dhall joined the JLR team in New York to celebrate the reveal. Congratulations!
