The evidence is clear: if we want to protect victims of exploitation and to disrupt sex trafficking networks, Scotland must strengthen our laws to tackle the root cause - male demand to buy sex. My Unbuyable bill provides a necessary first step in combating the scourge of male violence against women, by criminalising those who treat women and children as sexual products for sale and review.

While the government bury their head in the sand, ALL women are being failed. We all contribute to and access our invaluable Scottish NHS. We should ALL stand with Sandie Peggie, who bravely stood up for her right to a safe, single-sex space to wash up and to change her clothes. 3/9

Women must be able to change into and out of their work clothes in a single-sex changing room. Under public sector equality duty and HSE regulatory responsibilities, employers must ensure that their employee changing, hygiene and toilet facilities meet their legal and regulatory obligations.

Next Wednesday, three incredible women who challenged government on the very definition of “what is a women” at the Supreme Court will get the answer we all await.

It should not have had to come to this but thank goodness for @ForWomenScot for standing up for the safety, privacy & dignity of women & girls, when official bodies with those remits looked away.
