One of the most horrific experience of buying an Iphone at Unicorn which is an authorised Premium Retailer of @Apple

I walked into the Hazratganj,Lucknow store of Unicorn knowing exactly what to buy. Asked the sales guy to get the same billed. In the next 2 mins the phone was at the billing counter with a phone cover & screen guard accessory.

I simply asked him to remove the same, but he did not budge insisting its under some offer & cannot be billed without the same. After arguing for 5 mins he gave up & asked the billing person to bill the same. Dont know how the system could now bill just the phone. I just got it billed & paid.

After the billing , the sales guy asked me to open the box which was absolutely okay. Following which he insisted that the phone needs to be switched on & activated in the store itself. I didnt want to activate or switch it on there at the store, since it was meant to be gifted.

He had the audacity to say ‘You cannot take the phone out of the showroom without activating’. The phone has been paid for & now belongs to me, how can a sales person just do this?

I put my foot down, that i will not activate or switch on the phone. Either you cancel the transaction or let me take the same.

After 20 mins of policy lecturing by the apple team & the store manager, I was finally able to take the phone without activating.

I just want to ask @AppleSupport that is this a Global or National level policy by you? If not why such policies are being enforced to the customer at a local level which is spoiling the while experience of buying an Apple Product

Guess who lives there? India’s Ministers and MP’s. And Government heavyweights,  Judiciary etc.

Guess who funds it? You and me. Taxpayers like us.

Delhi is among the hottest and most polluted cities in India.

WHY DO WE NOT SHIFT THE CAPITAL CITY OF INDIA ITSELF? Can you imagine how different Delhi will look? And feel? Have more public space, parks and gardens, libraries, community centers, sports facilities etc? It will decongest. Become cooler. Better air to breathe.

We should follow the model of Canberra ( Australia), Ottawa ( Canada) and Pretoria ( South Africa). India’s new capital city can be made in Madhya Pradesh or Chhattisgarh, in central India, more accessible to all as well.

Our conversations need to go beyond Delhi Gymkhana Club, surely???

IMPORTANT: Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh (Dera Sacha Sauda chief) granted parole once again, this time for 30 days. It’s the 16th time he has been out on parole since his conviction in August 2017.
He is serving a 20-year sentence for rape. Meanwhile likes of Umar Khaled have stayed in jail for almost 6 years without even a trial commencing. Yeh hai JUSTICE system: Wonder what our Lordships would pontificate on next! 🙏

By all means run a bulldozer over Delhi Gymkhana. But don’t give the bullshit of exclusivity or privilege or tax payer money. If thats the standard we are living by then shut down Constitution Club; demolish the CSOI where govt land was given at throw away price to babus; shut down DSOI; take back all newspaper properties on BSZ Marg; Take back all lands given to NGOs which are profit centres; demolish IIC and Habitat Centre; stop subsidised food in parliament. MPs get paid so why should their food be subsidised? if they cant afford it, step down from parliament and do something that pays you enough. Shut down the Air Force and Army Golf Clubs, Santushti Centre, Race Club, and the Delhi Flying Club where no one flies anything. The DGC is being targeted because someone has an axe to grind and didnt get membership. Now its being made an elite vs non-elite fight which it isn't. But since we all want to play Bolshevik commies or are inspired by CCP and Khmer Rouge to demolish everything nice, decent, genteel, lets do a comprehensive job of it. Make it all a animal shelter which would warm the cockles of Pol Pot's heart. But please don’t give the BS of security because that is total hogwash. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

@DwellingDeep_ In a heavily populated city like Delhi there is practically no area which meets those requirements. Can you tell me any such areas in Defence Colony or Vasant Vihar or Chandni Chowk or Datyaganj? This is why I questioned the practicality of implementing such directions.
