Admiral Holsey voiced his worries about potential civilian casualties. In response, Hegseth reminded the admiral of his sworn obligations. Admiral Holsey made it clear to Hegseth that he would not follow an unlawful order after dedicating forty years to the #USNavy.

In reaction to the admiral's position, Hegseth threatened to remove Holsey from his command. The discussion escalated and was abruptly concluded.

Shortly after, within fifteen minutes, Pete Hegseth received a resignation letter from Admiral Alvin Holsey.

Recently, members of #Congress have approached Admiral Holsey, asking him to provide testimony regarding the circumstances of his resignation.
