We had a good conversation with Honduran Foreign Minister Mireya Agüero de Corrales following her visit to Kyiv as part of the delegation of the President of Honduras.
As an important step in strengthening our relationship, we signed a roadmap for deepening cooperation between Ukraine and Honduras for 2026-2029. We agreed on the importance of expanding economic and business ties.
I thanked the Minister for her close attention to Ukraine and heartfelt words about the Ukrainian people. Her visit to Kyiv provided an important opportunity to see firsthand the consequences of Russia’s war and to strengthen mutual understanding between our countries.
We highly value Honduras’s principled stance regarding illegal shadow fleet operations, including putting an end to the practice of vessel registration under the Honduran flag.
We discussed the urgent need to restore freedom of navigation in the Black Sea, which is essential not only for the security of the region but also for global food security and the uninterrupted export of Ukrainian agricultural products.
I informed my colleague about our work to launch the International Claims Commission and other international initiatives aimed at ensuring accountability and justice.
We also discussed our cooperation in bringing Ukrainian children stolen and deported by Russia back home, as well as practical steps to advance these efforts.
Ukraine counts on Honduras’s continued support for efforts to achieve a comprehensive and lasting peace.
Pleased to meet with my Mexican colleague @r_velascoa.
I thanked Mexico for its support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its solidarity in the wake of Russia’s terror against our cities and communities.
I informed my colleague about the situation on the battlefield, ongoing peace efforts, and our diplomatic work to end the war. Mexico’s voice in support of peace is important.
We also discussed strengthening Ukraine-Mexico political dialogue and support for the return of deported Ukrainian children. We agreed to work on boosting our bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
I invited my Mexican colleague to visit Ukraine at a convenient time.
I had a productive meeting with Panama’s Foreign Minister @javierachapma in New York.
I informed my colleague about the battlefield situation and our peace efforts. Ukraine wants to end this war and restore a comprehensive and lasting peace.
We focused on maritime security and freedom of navigation. From the Black Sea to the Panama Canal, the security of maritime routes is interconnected.
Russia’s continued attacks and attempts to disrupt navigation in the Black Sea threaten global food security far beyond our region.
I thanked Panama for its support and stressed the importance of practical engagement in returning Ukrainian children deported by Russia.
We also discussed accountability for the crime of aggression. Russia must be held accountable for the crimes it has committed, and we would welcome Panama’s consideration of joining the Special Tribunal. Accountability for aggression is a global principle, not a regional matter.
We agreed to maintain the positive dynamics of our bilateral contacts. I look forward to welcoming my colleague to Ukraine.

Ukraine has officially severed diplomatic relations with the Republic of Nicaragua.
This decision comes in response to Nicaragua’s recognition of Russia’s so-called “sovereignty” over temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories in Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson regions, and Crimea.
We consider this decision as a deliberate attempt to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, a gross violation of Ukraine’s Constitution, the UN Charter, and fundamental norms and principles of the international law.
By aligning itself politically with the aggressor state, seeking to legitimize the violent seizure of Ukrainian land, and opening the so-called “honorary consulate” in Russia-occupied Crimea, Nicaragua has become an accomplice to Russia’s crime of aggression against Ukraine.
Nicaragua’s “recognition” of Russian occupation is legally null and void. It does not and will never alter the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine.
Ukraine will continue to respond resolutely to any attempts to undermine its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During our meeting with President of Panama @JoseRaulMulino, we discussed the importance of sanctions against Russia’s shadow fleet. Panama has already revoked the registration of more than 200 Russian tankers, including those which pose a serious risk if used.
We also spoke about joining efforts to bring back Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia. Ukraine is preparing a resolution condemning the abduction and deportation of children, and Panama’s support will be important for us.
I thank Panama for supporting all pro-Ukrainian resolutions at the UN, our people, and especially our children. We value Panama’s steps to limit the operations of Russia’s shadow fleet.

I was honoured to take part in the Association of Caribbean States high-level dialogue.
I thanked Panamanian Presidency and presented Ukraine’s perspective as an observer state.
The voices of Caribbean nations matter in our peace efforts. I informed about the dynamic of the peace process and urged continued solidarity.
This war is not only about Ukraine. It has global consequences, which influence every region, including the Greater Caribbean.
This war is an attack on international law, the UN Charter, and our shared values. This is about principles.
During the war, we learned many important lessons that can make our partners stronger. And we are ready to share them.
We propose mutually beneficial cooperation in unmanned technologies, climate research, and other areas. Ukraine is ready to propose opportunities in Antarctic research.
We seek to expand cooperation and we will soon open four new embassies in Latin America—in the Dominican Republic, Panama, Uruguay, and Ecuador.
To put all our initiatives into action, we propose to organize the first Ukraine–Caribbean Summit. It can serve as a platform for strategic cooperation.
We are also interested in taking active part in further ACS events and activities.
This is how the headquarters of Ukraine’s government now looks after this morning's Russian attack. Our whole team works in this building daily. Fortunately, no one was injured. Russian barbarism will not halt the work of Ukraine’s government.
The walls will be repaired, they are only bricks, but the lives of our people can’t be restored. In this night’s Russian attack 4 people killed and 44 injured.
What is clear is that Russia does not want peace.
I urge the world to turn outrage over Russian crimes into concrete support for Ukraine. Not for the walls of this building, but to protect our people and communities across the country.
We need stronger air defense – more systems and more ammunition – to shield our cities and our energy system as winter approaches. We need tougher sanctions that will deprive the aggressor of oil and gas revenues, the very resources funding its terror.
Only by standing strong and united can we bring an end to Russian aggression and secure peace.
🚨 Russian forces attacked Kyiv overnight, killing two people, and injuring at least 14.
UNITED24 Media correspondent @MacalpineAudrey reports from the scene.
This night, Russia launched a massive and brutal strike against Ukraine. Hundreds of drones and missiles targeting civilians. Kyiv suffered particularly severe attacks.
Putin does this on purpose, just during the G7 summit. He sends a signal of total disrespect to the United States and other partners who have called for an end to the killing.
Russia not only rejects a ceasefire or a leaders' meeting to find solutions and end the war. It cynically strikes Ukraine's capital while pretending to seek diplomatic solutions.
Putin's goal is very simple: make the G7 leaders appear weak. Only strong steps and real pressure on Moscow can prove him wrong.
Overnight, Russia launched a massive air attack on Ukraine. The strikes claimed at least 12 lives, including 3 children, and injured over 50 people.
▫️Kyiv region: At least 4 people were killed. 16 more were injured, among them 3 children.
▫️Kyiv city: 11 people injured, aged between 18 and 62. Dormitory and residential buildings were damaged.
▫️Zhytomyr region: 3 children aged 8, 12, and 17 were killed. 12 others injured and hospitalized. Homes were destroyed across the region.
▫️Khmelnytskyi region: 4 people were killed, 5 injured. A school, public transport, and dozens of homes were destroyed or damaged.
▫️Mykolaiv: A drone hit a five-story residential building. 1 man was killed, 5 injured. Two floors collapsed.
▫️Kharkiv region: 3 people injured in Kharkiv, including a child wounded by shattered glass. Office and residential buildings were hit. In the region, drones struck schools, farms, and grain storage facilities, killing animals.
▫️Dnipro region: Missiles and drones hit Dnipro and surrounding districts. Homes, industry, and infrastructure were damaged.
▫️Ternopil and Sumy: Industrial sites were targeted.
The war continues because Moscow chooses missiles over peace. Ukraine has offered ceasefires again and again – both complete and in the air – but Russia has answered with more attacks. We call on our partners to act with tougher sanctions and pressure on Russia to stop this terror.
Imagine these apocalyptic scenes in any other European city in 2025. This is what russia unleashed on Kyiv last night. Residential buildings smashed with missiles & drones.
It's only been just over 72 hours since Midjourney dropped Omni Reference.
Any character, any scene.
People can't believe the consistency.
10 wild examples + prompts & tips: 👇
The situation on the frontline has been and continues to be tense and difficult. Every day, Ukrainian forces confront brutal Russian attacks and hold the line against the overwhelming numbers of the enemy.
However, despite enormous efforts and resources, Russia was unable to break through the front and did not achieve strategic success in any of the directions.
The overall assumption that Russia is winning the war is incorrect. It is based on a common pattern among foreign analysts of underestimating Ukraine and overestimating Russia. This pattern has been proven wrong many times before, but people keep falling into the same trap.
In reality, Russia's last year’s and this winter's offensives have mostly lost steam. Ukraine has largely stabilized the frontline and even reclaimed some ground near Pokrovsk and other areas.
Russia is making only minimal and extremely costly advances in some areas, losing over a thousand soldiers killed and wounded in action each day. These are the bloodiest square meters that any army has taken in modern history.
The scale of Russian casualties was so high that the Kremlin was forced to ask for support from the North Korean regime. More than 12,000 NK soldiers were involved in the fighting in the Kursk region. They were used as disposable and inexpensive human resources.
Russia planned to retake the Kursk region in a few months but was unable to do so for nearly nine months. With the current rate of advance in the Donetsk region, Moscow would need many years to take all of it under control.
With the current developments in mind, no one should lose sight of the bigger picture, which demonstrates that Russia's full-scale invasion was a complete disaster. It began as a blitzkrieg, with the goal of destroying Ukraine and toppling its leadership in a matter of days.
Over three years later, Russia has lost over 950,000 soldiers killed or wounded in action, but it has not captured a single additional regional center in Ukraine since the 2022 invasion. Kherson was the only one, but Ukraine liberated it in 2022, along with more than half of the occupied territories.
Ukraine has expanded its defense industry sixfold and now meets approximately 40% of its military needs on its own. Ukraine produces 95% of the drones that are responsible for approximately 77,000 destroyed Russian targets on the frontlines in March 2025 alone. This figure is 10% higher than in February, and Ukraine's drone capacity is increasing by the week. Overall, up to three-quarters of the frontline targets are destroyed with drones.
Ukraine wants peace more than anyone else in the world. We never wanted this war, and we want it to end as soon as possible. We are working hard together with the United States, European and other partners to achieve peace.
And this path must be based on accurate information, assumptions, and estimates. What we require is pressure on Russia and a clear strengthening of Ukraine, which will deprive Moscow of any illusions that it can turn the tide in its favor. Such measures will force the Kremlin to consider ending the war rather than expanding it.

Empty talks don’t stop drones, missiles, or terror. On the holy day of Palm Sunday, Russia killed at least 21 people and injured at least 83 more, including 7 children, in the city center of Sumy.
Instead of choosing peace, Russia continues its genocide – killing people, spreading terror, and dragging out this deadly war.
After crearly refusing the U.S. proposal for a full ceasefire and increasing its attacks against civilians, Russia must now face real pressure and real strength from the international community.
A horrific Russian ballistic missile strike on Sumy.Russian missiles hit an ordinary city street, ordinary life – residential buildings, educational institutions, cars on the street… And that’s on the day when people go to church – Palm Sunday, the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem.
According to preliminary information, dozens of civilians were killed and wounded. Only filthy scum can act like this – taking the lives of ordinary people. My condolences to the families and loved ones. A rescue operation is underway. All necessary services are working at the scene.
The world must respond firmly. The United States, Europe, everyone in the world who wants this war and these killings to end. Russia wants exactly this kind of terror and is dragging this war out. Without pressure on Russia, peace is impossible. Talks have never stopped ballistic missiles and aerial bombs. What’s needed is an attitude toward Russia that a terrorist deserves. I thank everyone who stands with Ukraine and helps us defend life.
Today is the 11th anniversary of the start of war in the Donbas.
It was launched on April 12th 2014 in Sloviansk by a group of around 60 special forces and paramilitary men led by the Russian GRU agent Igor ”Strelkov” Girkin.
They crossed the border from Russia on April 11th and took control of the government building in Sloviansk on April 12th.
Strelkov had been present in Ukraine from the start of the war, having entered Crimea on February 26th and participated in the armed storming of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on February 27th.
In March 2014, his unit stormed a photogrammetric center in Simferopol, further consolidating control over strategic locations.
Strelkov was instrumental in organizing local pro-Russian militias and coordinating with Russian regular forces, particularly the so-called "little green men" (Russian special forces without insignia).
Strelkov was a former officer of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), having served until at least 2012 and was an officer of Russia’s military intelligence (GRU).
He was closely linked to Sergey Aksyonov, the Russian-installed prime minister of Crimea, serving as a security aide and advisor.
After Crimea, Strelkov moved to eastern Ukraine, leading a group of 52–55 armed militants across the Russian-Ukrainian border on the night of April 11–12, 2014, to seize Sloviansk, a city in Ukraine’s Donetsk region.
- On April 12, 2014, his group captured key administrative buildings, including the police station, Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) offices, and city administration, declaring Sloviansk part of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).
- Strelkov established himself as the military commander of Sloviansk, organizing defenses, setting up roadblocks, and overseeing operations that included ambushes, kidnappings, and executions.
- He admitted to sparking the broader Donbas War, stating, “I’m the one who pulled the trigger of war. If our unit hadn’t crossed the border, everything would have fizzled out.”
- His forces engaged Ukrainian troops, killed SBU officers, and took OSCE observers hostage.
Strelkov ordered the execution of several individuals, including Ukrainians Yurii Popravko, Yurii Diakovskyi, and Volodymyr Rybak.
- By May 2014, he was named “commander-in-chief” and “defense minister” of the DPR, consolidating control over separatist fighters in the region.
Facing intense Ukrainian military pressure, Strelkov’s forces retreated from Sloviansk to Donetsk on July 5, 2014, after which his influence waned, and he was dismissed in August 2014.
It was also in August that large formations of the Russian regular army invaded the Donbas region from Russia to stop the Ukrainian Army from crushing the pro-Russian separatist forces that had taken control of some cities in the region.
Strelkov later fell out with Putin, accusing him of not taking enough of Ukraine and being too weak.
Strelkov was sentenced to 4 years in prison last year for ”inciting extremism”
Sloviansk is still in Ukrainian hands 11 years after Strelkov’s attack and 3 years after Russia’s full-scale invasion.
Thank you to 30 former heads of state and governments of Latin American nations and Spain @IDEA_Grupo for your solidarity in condemning Russia’s brutal attack on Kryvyi Rih.
