It’s going to be a long post, but I’ve sat on this information for too long. I don’t think I can anymore.
I always considered @Jamesglyde a good friend, so I was happy to join @thepipfarm in May. I reached out for any kind of management role, and James told me he wanted to fix client management. In his own words, the team was being “too invasive” and “acting like FBI” with clients.
When I joined, my first task was to fix client experience and later the risk team. I made sure no decisions were made without cause, and even when clients were terminated, I ensured they fully understood why.
By the end of June, I had learned many things that didn’t sit right with me:
•Deliberate interview requests used to delay payouts by weeks.
•Introduction of unnecessary rules designed to frustrate traders.
•James himself admitting he shares client data with 14 other firms (@E8Markets , @thinkcapitalcom , @BlueGuardiancom , @AquaFunded , etc.) in a WhatsApp group. They reconciled statements of clients across firms and then forced interviews afterwards. The data was already obtained illegally but they still asked clients for “proof” just to make it look voluntary.
•James speaking with fake courtesy to profitable clients while mocking them behind their backs (hating Asians for making the most payouts, claiming “all Indians cheat”).
I was let go at the end of June with a “thank you.” The very next day, I found out James told the team I was terminated. A week later, he spread a story about firing a risk manager which everyone assumed was me and let the lie spread across firms.
After I left, clients like @ispidertrader were treated terribly using the same old tricks.
I initially didn’t speak up publicly because @salmanmunir96 is my best friend, and James had goodwill with him, I didn’t want to put him in a bad position. And partly because I didn’t want my words to cause Pipfarm to shut down, which would mean clients losing money.
But enough is enough.
James has proven himself the opposite of what he pretends to be. Once the facade is gone, he’s filthier than any other scam prop owner. He has now brought in Milos from @monevis (a company he rugged) to rebrand Pipfarm and shift liability. He’s still sharing client data illegally. He’s delayed staff wages (he took 2 months to pay me my last wage). And now I hear he’s holding back staff salaries altogether.
My only advice: stay away from him and his firm. It will do you no good.
I think the word abuser gets thrown around a bit too much. You are only pointing at a % of people who are gameifying, hedging or cheating rather than trading.
The problem you mentioned is real, however firms should apply extra care before making decisions instead of applying the same treatment to a vast array of people just for the sake of cutting costs - while keeping abusing influences in the game for publicity reasons (for example).
I like your approach to handling these matters, it seems your staff is being instructed not to use the spray and pray method, and that is already a step forward.
Finally, I think it's fair to say that in 99.9% of cases, the firm is not your friend, and the client isn't the firm's friend either. This dynamic sets the stage for a long list of tactics that the firm may use to outmaneuver the trader in the pursuit of making money or avoiding losses.
@PropJoshD I hope you will succeed in implementing your plan in a fair way.
However, don't you agree that not "quantifying trading abuse in writing" leaves way too much freedom of interpretation on the firm's side? Therefore leading to the points I have mentioned above?
Well I certainly dont want my reply to get twisted into something about not wanting to buy because your firm doesn't tolerate racists.. Lmao
Perhaps I didnt understand that your post was referring exclusively to hate speech within the community.
However my points and questions stand valid, especially considering your past posts where you've been framing things from a business perspective, so I was just responding in kind, asking for more details on the impartial side of things.
I'd still love to hear about your plans for those decisions if you're up for sharing. No hard feelings either way, but more clarity would help.
🚨 How FTMO use their solid reputation to secretly ban traders
I started using FTMO last year. My trading was on the riskier side, I had some good trades but I was mainly blowing accounts.
I finally managed to pass an account at the beginning of this year, and...
