Trump wants as many Ukrainians to suffer and die, and as much Ukrainian infrastructure damaged or destroyed as possible. He believes the more pain, suffering & trauma inflicted on Ukrainians, the more likely they will be coerced into surrendering to Russia. Evil fucking monster.
That's a disgusting lie. Ukraine hasn't stolen any children from russia. On the other hand we don't know, TO THE NEAREST HUNDRED THOUSAND, how many children russia has taken from Ukraine.
In the following tweet, my @BylineTimes article, Ukraine's Stolen Children.
Russia will use “Oleshky ceasefire” as another Potemkin village press tour opportunity to whitewash its crimes in the occupied Kherson region.
They are already blaming the drone siege on Ukrainians.

My detailed article is up today
🔴 A ceasefire in Russian-occupied Oleshky opens the way for a Kremlin-controlled press tour and gaslighting operation designed to shift blame for the humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine.
Here is how it is done:
https://t.co/VpmR6ENpsY
russia is about to use a humanitarian crisis it CAUSED as a PR stunt.
Vital to remember that people are still in Oleshky because russia held them hostage as human shields. Putin will try rewrite history & pretend he cares about saving lives. But russia caused this.
Zelensky is 100% correct.
Kniaz correspondence shows us that "Rus" strictly meant the core regions of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, and Pereiaslav.
Modern Moskal-controlled lands were never considered "Rus" in the old Slavic Kingdom's history.
"OMG, BREAKING NEWS!💥❗️💥❗️ Ukraine lost, it's done, Zelenskyy agreed to freeze the frontline." - said every russian shill or idiot in the last two days.
Zelenskyy and Ukraine accepted an unconditional ceasefire in March 2025, and since then the offer has been on the table. russia keeps refusing it.
Zelenskyy reminds people about it often in his public speeches, and military analysts, OSINTers, journalists, and interviewers occasionally bring it up. Hell, I remind people about it all the time. Why? Because russian propaganda (and Trump for some reason) likes to say that Zelenskyy is refusing a "peace deal," so this is a piece of information they like to overlook. Or pretend it doesn't exist.
But it does. Ukraine has been proposing to freeze the frontline and move to diplomacy for years. Russia demands we surrender the rest of the Donbas, a land with our people in it, the most fortified part of Ukraine, and the gateway to starting the siege of Dnipro, Kharkiv, and the rest of Ukraine, just to START diplomacy.
Yes, not to end the war, just to start the talks. In which they are going to demand the same things they demanded in Istanbul: no military support, no army for Ukraine, no equipment, no alliances, essentially no independence and no power to resist further aggression.
When Ukraine inevitably refuses to surrender in a war it hasn't lost, russian propaganda will declare we refused a "peace deal" and the russian army will proceed with its aggression, except now beyond the most fortified part of Ukraine.
Needless to say, no one will ever agree to this scenario, so freezing the frontline and moving to diplomacy is logical, and Ukraine agreed to that years ago.
“The Ukrainians are not going to fold. They're not going to surrender. You can cut off their Patriots, you can cut off their intelligence. But people don't like to live on their knees. Ukrainians are not going to give up their territory because doing so would condemn all the people in that territory to torture, rape and murder. So it's not going to happen.”
“So what President Trump has actually done is he's undermined his own objective, to get to a quick resolution of the war, which I think he really wants, by pursuing a strategy which is to lower pressure on Putin and to raise pressure on Ukraine, which is going to achieve the opposite result.”
“So, it's not going to work, because you can't choose a country's fate without including that country and its people. 44 million people who have a right to dignity and sovereignty and a say over how they live. And none of those people want to live under the cruel rule of Vladimir Putin, no matter what President Trump thinks about it.”
“And then you add the fact that Trump is actively aiding Putin, by promoting a narrative of the war that is false, exactly matches Russian propaganda, and places Zelensky in a terrible position where he's got to either decide to live in Trump's reality, which is a bunch of lies about how the war started and how how it's going, or to defend his people and do his job as the president of the country.”
“You add all those things together, it's a perfect storm of toxicity whereby the president is putting America on the side of the aggressor and the war criminals and against the side of the victims of this conflict. And it's bizarre. And there's no way to to look at that and to say that's anything that America has ever stood for in the past. Yet, here we are.”
“And the result is very predictable and predicted. He's going to get a lot of Ukrainians killed without actually solving the problem. And that's a tragedy.”
Listening to Trump’s unintelligible ramblings about Ukraine has become my evening masochistic ritual, and it’s somehow even more fun when there’s an air raid outside because the same Russians who ‘haven’t done anything that bad’ are targeting Kyiv with missiles. Again.
There is a war in Ukraine because Russia invaded Ukraine.
Putin can end the war tomorrow by withdrawing his troops.
No American would surrender 20% of American territory for “peace.” Nor should we demand that of anyone else.
"Ein amerikanischer Präsident, der bereit ist, das Interesse von Putins Russland über das Interesse der Vereinigten Staaten zu stellen, sollte vom Amt entfernt und wegen Hochverrats angeklagt werden."
Endlich die richtige Forderung.
Vance: "I think Ukrainians should stop bombing Russian energy... I don't think that Ukraine should be in NATO."
NO ONE WAS TOUCHING THEIR PRECIOUS ENERGY UNTIL THEY INVADED US!
And maybe, just maybe, Russia should stop murdering Ukrainian civilians on a daily basis, JD? Maybe they shouldn't be murdering babies in their strollers in the park like they did today?
Maybe they should stop an almost 5-year-long bombing campaign against Ukrainian infrastructure designed to plunge us into a humanitarian disaster and force us to surrender? How about that?
Or, hear me out, maybe they should fuck off back across the border, and then no one will bomb them again?
