Promised, delivered, implemented.
The EU’s strategy to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine rests on two pillars: strengthening Ukraine; increasing pressure on Russia. Today we moved forward on both:
▪️ Unlocking the €90 billion loan to Ukraine, securing financial and military support for 2026–2027.
▪️ Adopting the 20th package of sanctions against Russia, reducing its ability to wage war.
Europe stands firm, united and unwavering in its support to Ukraine.
Predsjednik Ukrajine @ZelenskyyUa upravo je objavio da je dovršen popravak naftovoda Družba.
Ruska nafta može ponovno krenuti prema Mađarskoj i Slovačkoj.

We discussed our priorities in energy cooperation with partners.
First, in the context of the crisis caused by the war in Iran, it is important to fully implement the agreements on supplying Ukraine with the necessary volumes of fuel. The volumes for April and May are secured.
Second, we are preparing a meeting already this week in the Energy Ramstein format, and we need to speed up efforts to secure the necessary funding for recovery work, as well as for building protection of energy facilities.
Third, as agreed in communication with the European Union, Ukraine has completed repair work on the section of the Druzhba oil pipeline that was damaged by a Russian strike. The pipeline can resume operation. Although no one can currently guarantee that Russia will not repeat attacks on the pipeline infrastructure, our specialists have ensured the basic conditions for restoring the operation of the pipeline system and equipment.
We connect this with the unblocking of the European support package for Ukraine, which had already been approved by the European Council. We also hope our partners will take the necessary steps regarding the EU negotiation clusters for Ukraine – we have already fulfilled our part of the work on the first clusters. In addition, we must continue systematic sanctions pressure on Russia over this war and work on further diversifying energy supplies to Europe. Europe must be independent from those who seek to destroy or weaken it. I thank everyone who helps.
"We want a piece of ice for world protection and they won't give it," President Trump says, setting up a choice for European leaders: "Say yes and we will be appreciative. Or, say no and we will remember."
EU Ambassadors held today a long discussion on Trump’s threat to Greenland and the turbulent state of EU-US relations.
The European Commission presented several options to retaliate, including the €93 billion list and the Anti-Coercion Instrument.
But no decision was taken.
Territorial integrity and sovereignty are fundamental principles of international law.
They are essential for Europe and for the international community as a whole.
We have consistently underlined our shared transatlantic interest in peace and security in the Arctic, including through NATO.
The pre-coordinated Danish exercise, conducted with allies, responds to the need to strengthen Arctic security and poses no threat to anyone.
The EU stands in full solidarity with Denmark and the people of Greenland. Dialogue remains essential, and we are committed to building on the process begun already last week between the Kingdom of Denmark and the US.
Tariffs would undermine transatlantic relations and risk a dangerous downward spiral. Europe will remain united, coordinated, and committed to upholding its sovereignty.
The financial package for Ukraine is in place: Ukraine will receive an interest-free loan of 90 billion Euros as I suggested. This sends a clear signal from Europe to Putin: This war will not be worth it. We will keep Russian assets frozen until Russia has compensated Ukraine.
🚨🚨🚨 Stefano Sannino, the former secretary general of the EEAS and current director general of DG MENA, has also been detained as part of the anti-fraud investigation.

Leaders have chosen a broad language ("options") to keep the door open for a possible Reparations Loan to be addressed (again) before the end of the year.
Will this be enough for the Commission to move forward with its groundbreaking plan?
Litavska vojska objavila je da su dva ruska zrakoplova ušla u njezin zračni prostor. Zadržali su se 18 sekundi. NATO je kao odgovor na to područje poslao dva španjolska lovačka zrakoplova raspoređena na Baltiku

The European Union has agreed on a new round of sanctions against Russia just as the United States threatens a "substantial pickup" in pressure.
The EU sanctions target Russian LNG, oil industry, "shadow fleet", crypto platforms and diplomats.
Visoka povjerenica EU @kajakallas o sastancima @realDonaldTrump i Vladimira Putina:

@EU_Commission kaže kako ni Putin ni Lavrov nemaju zabrane ulaska u EU. A s obzirom na zabranu korištenja zračnog prostora EU za ruske zrakoplove, zemlje članice mogu iznimno dopustiti da ih preleti Putinov zrakoplov
