@shawngorham Sad but true. They get your info from crash reports. How they obtain them is pretty shady/grey area. It’s also unethical in most states for them to solicit you in this way. Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop them.

Joint payment might indicate joint ownership which would require joint maintenance, and therefore joint liability.
Bad deal for the the non owner to now be on the hook. They would need some good indemnity contracts to undertake something like this.
