mas marami pang maganda't creative na paggamit ang mga drag queens (at ang queer community as a whole sa sarili nating kultura) kaysa sa mismong department of tourism natin—that says a lot!
i actually don’t have anything against what u choose to spend ur energy on, but you know why this leaves such a bitter taste in my mouth is bc when we organize rallies on *actual* issues that plague the phillipines and affect filipinos, we barely even get any casual attendees.
i hate men who thinks that remarks that sexualizes us woman is a compliment that we should appreciate.
you are just weird and disgusting. end of discussion.
duterte made it too easy for male politicians to harass women - even when the whole nation is watching.
his rape jokes got laughs and endless justifications. wala ng naging puwang ang kahihiyan at accountability kahit sa gobyerno ng pinas.
WOMEN ARE NOT PUNCHLINES
It is deeply disappointing to hear a public official reduce a female celebrity to sexual innuendos for laughs and clout. Positions of power demand responsibility, not objectification.
Encantadia has always stood as a beacon of women empowerment. From the Sang’gres to the Bathaluman, women in this world lead armies, rule kingdoms, wield magic, and shape destiny. They are written as complex, powerful beings, not as subjects of cheap fantasies.
If we celebrate stories where women are warriors, rulers, and saviors, then we must also uphold that same respect in real life. Empowerment does not stop at the screen.
Respect is not optional, especially from those in power.
