I'm officially calling for the Cabinet to remove Trump from office under the 25th Amendment. If they can't, Congress must return from recess today and begin impeachment proceedings.

(1/10) @realDonaldTrump cited me as supporting his attack on Iran and expressing regret we didn’t do it during the Biden Administration. Except I didn’t.
I shake my head at Eritrean diaspora which sings the praises of dictator Isaias. If he's so great, why don't they go home to his "paradise" instead of staying in corrupt West? Of course, in Eritrea, they couldn't insult people on X due to no internet. Isn't hypocrisy wonderful?!
Analysis: ‘Unsafe even to walk outside, let alone vote’: #Oromia residents express fear over upcoming 7th general #election
Residents across several zones of the Oromia regional state told Addis Standardthat persistent insecurity is undermining their ability and willingness, to participate in #Ethiopia’s upcoming 7th general election, with many saying they are avoiding voter registration due to safety concerns.
Residents in #North_Shewa and #Horo_Guduru Wollega zones said frequent security incidents and the presence of armed groups have created an “atmosphere of fear”, discouraging participation in the electoral process scheduled for May.
“We are refraining from participating in the registration process,” several residents who spoke to Addis Standard from both zones said. “At a time when the election is supposed to take place, the security problem has worsened more than before,” the resident said.
Despite these challenges, the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) has continued voter registration for the 7th general election, which began on March 9 and is scheduled to continue until April 8, 2026.
The Board announced that as of March 19, 2026, a total of 18,556,337 voters had registered through manual and digital systems, including 10,133,639 men and 8,422,698 women.
NEBE Chairperson #Melatwork_Hailu recently said the Board is engaging with relevant stakeholders to ensure security concerns do not disrupt the electoral process.
However, some residents reported coercive practices during voter registration.

US deports Ethiopian man after his online posts caught the attention of investigators
U.S. immigration authorities deported an Ethiopian man, Solomon Bogale, after investigators determined that his internet activities demonstrated sympathy for the Fano militia organization, which has been involved in armed clashes with Ethiopian government forces.
A lot has changed since then. Afan Oromo and Qubee are now firmly established as languages of service in Orthodox churches across Oromia, and there are Oromo servants of the Church, including priests and bishops. This is not just symbolic, rather it represents a decisive shift toward the recognition of the Oromo people’s language, identity, and rightful place.
This was not a free gift. It is the result of centuries-long generational struggle, resilience, and sacrifice.
Some members of the Ethio-Amhara elite resisted this transformation through organized protests, including black-clothing campaigns and symbolic acts such as hair-cutting demonstrations. Yet those efforts did not stop the change.
Even now, they continue to promote narratives rooted in the past, hoping to restore an era when power and cultural dominance were concentrated in their hands.
What they fail to grasp is that this is 21st century & the current generation is highly self-aware, confident, and resolute. We do not dwell on the past, but we will never accept subjugation in whatever form , not of our identity, not of our language, not of our culture.
The youth of today stand for equality, mutual respect, and genuine recognition of diversity. Any attempt to reverse progress, deny or diminish these fundamental rights is doomed to fail.
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Asmarom Legesse. A distinguished scholar, a proud son of Oromia, and a global voice of the Gadaa System.
Through his research and lifelong dedication, Professor Asmarom introduced the wisdom, democracy, and philosophy of the Oromo Gadaa System to the world. His work gave international recognition to one of Africa’s most remarkable indigenous governance systems.
May his legacy continue to inspire generations.
May his soul rest in peace.

With profound sorrow that we learn the passing away of Professor Asmerom Legesse—a towering scholar who’s always remembered for his great contributions in putting the Oromo Gada system on the global epistemological map.
Condolences to his families, friends and colleagues.
A hero has fallen.
Nagaan boqadhaa, Goota!
With the passing of Prof Asmerom Legesse, we lost a mind that chose humility over distance and respect over extraction. His life’s work was an act of listening—patient, deliberate, and deeply human.
He walked beside our elders, stayed among our people, travelled across Oromia, learned through trust, and carried the spirit of Gadaa when many tried to ignore it. He did not speak about us; he stood with us, allowing ancestral wisdom to speak for itself.
Eritrea gave him life; Oromo embraced him as one of our very own.
We mourn him not as a visitor, but as family.
May his soul rest in peace, and may his legacy live on. Amen!
Through “Gada: Three Approaches,” he elevated indigenous African knowledge & inspired generations.
Rest in eternal peace, Prof. Legesse. Your legacy endures. 🙏🕊️

We mourn the loss of a giant in African intellectual history: Professor Asmarom Legesse.
His pioneering work on the Oromo Gadaa system revealed an ancient, sophisticated democracy—equitable rotation, checks on power, & social harmony—long before many modern systems. 1/2
The Hamdesa I know, the one who introduced the “Oromo” to the State Department. There comes a time when those who shaped us deeply, ideologically depart, leaving behind a big hole in our hearts. Today, as many of us remember our unique encounters, I feel compelled to share a…
I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Professor Hamdessa Tuso. Prof. Hamdessa was an eminent scholar whose contributions to Oromo knowledge production were immense. As a founding member of OSA and a pillar of the intellectual community, he leaves behind a profound and enduring legacy. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were touched by his work. May his soul rest in peace.
I am shocked to learn of the demise of former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, a patriot, a pan-Africanist, a democrat and a leader who made significant contributions to democracy in Kenya and in Africa.
Kenya has lost one of its most formidable leaders who shaped the trajectory of our beloved country. Africa has lost a leading voice in pushing for peace, security and development. The world has lost a great leader.
During these difficult times, I pass my deepest condolences to Mama Ida Odinga and the entire Odinga family, to the people of Kibra Constituency , who he represented for many years, to the people of Siaya County, where he hails from and to all of us Kenyans.
May the Lord comfort us all as we deal with this enormous blow.
