I'm seeing a lot of interest in @tolkienprof's recent remarks about the concept of 'canon' with respect to Tolkien adaptations. Corey, @MaggieParke and I actually had a discussion on exactly this issue back in 2022 that people might find informative:

@NBangen So sorry you're feeling this way, Nix. I have felt this way at times in my 'day job' career in games, and probably even more so with regard to YouTube. It sucks. Reach out if you need to, you have a lot of people who care about you.
@nerdoftherings1@sonymusic OMG, nice one Matt!! I will share this around before it airs (p.s. Hope you're doing well brother -- miss chatting to you!).
Happy #TolkienReadingDay!
For TRD 2022 we released a retelling of The Forging of the Rings and after the positive feedback decided to start on a part 2. However, it never got completed and for 2 years it was left to the side.
But 2 years later we have now put together a makeshift version of part 2 which is a retelling of 'Aldarion & Erendis' + 'The War of the Elves and Sauron' which includes some of your favourite Tolkien creators narrating!
Though it is still incomplete with some narration missing, we are still very happy with the outcome and if you would like to see the completed final version then let us know!
@AemyBlackfyre For All Mankind. It's an alternate history drama based on the idea that the Russians beat the Americans to the moon in the Space Race era. I found it to be very interesting, and even quite moving at times. ✌🏻
More shenanigans in Middle Earth coming your way!
We’re back for more The Lord of the Rings: The RPG! And we’re having a fantastic time!

@CineplexMovies The miniatures pictured in this promo makes me think that @executivegoth is going to be playing Kingsley. I'm happy either way but I was hoping for Caduceus, I miss that holy cow-man. 🤔
@Daunted_Milk @jessiegender My only issue with Bethsoft's games is that they call themselves CRPGs – but really they're just sandbox action games. I think their success shifted the publishers, through the 2000s, from wanting to finance the production of RPGs that emphasise complexity in the players' agency.
