So I replied to someone else with this but I figured it should be made its own tweet because it's something I've been shouting from the rooftops for a decade now and FINALLY people are starting to get it.

I'm squarely on the side of none of it (political speech, even the extreme views). If you notice the moment that you start banning political opinions extremism actually goes up. The reason is it creates further conflict, it doesn't stop them spreading their views, it pushes them into an echo chamber to where the only ones they have to speak to are eachother doubling down again and again on more and more extreme views. Also the whole "the elites want to censor us because -insert conspiracy here-" is STRENGTHENED if they then get banned for saying that. The ONLY way to counter conspiratorial nutjobs is to allow them to say what they want and then ARGUE THEM DOWN. If you make them look silly and everyone laughs at them it shames others who might have considered their views and deradicalizes them. People argue for diversity all the time but what about diversity of thought? Diversity of opinions? Diversity of ideas? The point of democracy is that all viewpoints clash until the ones that are tempered by the free marketplace of ideas rise to the top and the shit ones get pushed to the bottom. From the late 90s all the way to the mid 2010s we had that, and the more it's been eroded the more shit our society has become. Democracy is a system built on dissidents, if you ban one set of dissidents you are by definition destroying democracy.

Dawntrail was meant to be a multi-expansion storyline but it's been relegated to filler content and they are starting over with a new plotline because of how shit it was

Even if she just stayed quiet nobody would be angry at her but it's the fact she is encouraging and defending his behaviour that's objectionable
