This year we are asking barbers and stylists throughout Genesee County to partner with us to bring awareness for child survivors of abuse. One of the easiest forms of prevention is awareness and education. Through this partnership, we are able to do just that!

A safe sleep space should:
- Be free of bumpers, pillows, blankets, and toys.
- Include a firm, flat, and level surface covered only by a fitted sheet.
- Have baby in a crib, bassinet, or pack-n-play in the same room as caregivers.
- Have baby placed on their back.

As the weather gets colder, we want to remind you that your baby should not be sleeping with blankets, stuffed animals, padding, or extra layers. A sleep sack is plenty to keep your baby warm, adding extra layers can lead to overheating or increased risk of suffocation.
