We are coming together to promote and share powerful solidarity around child abuse prevention. Be a part of this moment Thursday, April 6, 2023, 12PM at the Genesee County Sheriff's Office in downtown Flint
This year we are asking barbers and stylists throughout Genesee County to partner with us to bring awareness for child survivors of abuse. One of the easiest forms of prevention is awareness and education. Through this partnership, we are able to do just that!
Another way to partner with @UMFlint!
UM-Flint was a proud sponsor of yesterday's Children's Champion Award Breakfast. Kudos to @VoicesforCAC for Children for organizing this annual celebration of those who make children a priority.
A safe sleep space should:
- Be free of bumpers, pillows, blankets, and toys.
- Include a firm, flat, and level surface covered only by a fitted sheet.
- Have baby in a crib, bassinet, or pack-n-play in the same room as caregivers.
- Have baby placed on their back.
This is your opportunity to be involved by choosing which community organization will receive funding to implement programming that assists at-risk youth right here in Flint. Help us by Voting for Voices for Children Advocacy Center!
While children are dealing with big emotions, it is important to help them learn to regulate these emotions. It can be as easy as a hug or stepping away from the environment that is triggering these emotions/behaviors. Remember; you are your child's first teacher! ❤
