Still thinking about that time last year when we played Syracuse and a defender tried with full force to punch a ball out of Braylon Staley’s hands and Staley looked like he didn’t even notice as he ran into the end zone.
@RuralVol I may be misremembering but, I am pretty sure I saw on the insider boards on On3 that his family was actually expecting him to take a redshirt year. That was before they couldn’t get Joey back or a transfer.
@BarstoolTenn The game will eventually slow down for Faizon if he gets a chance. All QBs talk about that. It eventually slows down mentally and they can make reads and so on. But that won’t happen if the offensive line keeps him in a “first read our I’m out of time” situation.
I know Faizon Brandon will grow and learn so I’m not concerned there. But anytime they show our offensive line on replay, it just seems they don’t know how to read a defense. They look lost if anything other than a straight rush happens.
@ClasslessVol I’m not big on trash talking but my honest take is, if you want to let Faizon rip it to gain some confidence in an SEC game, this may be the one to do it.
