For over 30 years, alongside painting and drawing traditional images, I have also been creating digital art. Here is my latest piece: soft colors and organic shapes bathed in gentle light. Being creative relaxes me.
Last night, I had delicious homemade meatballs with mustard and mashed potatoes. I also had a cold beer. I was a guest at friends' place. Many thanks for the delicious meal.
The bronze statue of the "Gießener Schlammbeiser" stands in Giessen's Schwanenteich Park. Historically, the figure represents the sewer cleaners who—prior to the advent of modern sewage systems—used long iron rods and wooden carts to remove refuse, filth, and excrement.
During one of my walks, I saw a yellow daylily (*Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus*). Wild forms of the daylily originate in East Asia; their natural range lies primarily in China, Japan, and Korea. Each individual flower opens for just a single day and fades by evening.
Last night, I ate an incredibly delicious pizza topped with garlic sausage, fresh tomato slices, and loads of melted cheese. It came from Pizzeria Musti in Schöffengrund. A good friend treated me to it, and I thank him for that.

Dalai Lama: "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you cannot help them, at least do not harm them." If everyone lived by this principle, the world would be a significantly better and kinder place.
On my way home from my job at a coffee shop in a homeless shelter here in Giessen, I walked through Schwanenteich Park—as I often do—and visited the swans there. I love swans, partly because they remain faithful to each other for life 🤔
