Husband, father, DIYer. I make things. Probably wrenching on something or researching or designing parts for some project. Teaching my kids how to be engineers.
@Cernovich no it isn't, it just talks to you like a psychologist from a reddit post. it's the ultimate midwit ai boss. it will talk you up until you're too blind to see all the mistakes you're making.
actually very dangerous if we don't get a handle on it. it will make humans lazy thinkers
I can't stand this platform anymore.
It's all porn and misinformation about news.
I thought it was just going to be flecked in to the platform for a long time, but this tap and hold trend really proved that X has no idea how to contain F tier content.
The accounts I actually want to hear from are gradually posting less and starting to complain about the platform too.
X isn't usable if the moderation is so relaxed that I can't read it at work or around my kids, and I have to scroll forever to get past the manipulated trends when I'm finally free of both.
I may as well delete my account
@Timcast Social media is dead because literally everything is fake.
From the corporations that pretend to build products when they're just building a stock, to the influencers that sell authenticity with product placements.
We already live in the world Black Mirror warned us about.
@shoe0nhead >not pirate
>not cowboy
so he's not gay
>samurai
so he'd prefer to not have sex at all
>privateer
but he wants to colonize something
bad news...
They don't see it as conning the system.
They see themselves as one of the unlucky that don't get to be "normal," and they get benefits from the system paid into by millions of "normal" people.
They haven't done the 3rd order thinking that they're conning the system.
They're getting paid to not think about it.
By an administrative body that collects funds from the "normal" people.
That's how the system works.
Their parents voted for it.
The system decided they get it.
It's not going to change.
They may as well accept the money.
Even if they don't really need it.
Eventually some of them do get to the 3rd order thinking.
They think the way to deal with it is to keep expanding the benefits until it includes everyone.
Then what they did isn't morally wrong. They just got to participate first.
Coping.
"Socialism" is a coping mechanism.
For people who benefitted from the systematic financial abuse of the working class.
@FrenlyOfficer >no man has it all
>describes a slightly above average American man
>it's me at 30YO
can't wait for the heart attack bod, $105,000 salary, and the norwood 40
Nobody I talk to gets it.
I was a mildly good amateur programmer 10 years ago in college classes. That was the extent of my programming knowledge.
With 1 month of a Claude Max subscription I'm hosting 5 full stack websites in my basement with Kotlin and Swift apps.
Imagine what actually talented people are doing.
