Hello, my name is ‘Adhya Garlapati’. I love volunteering because this is a great way to meet new people and gain new experiences through fun filled activities!!

August 8th, Receiving the Daily Point of Light Award and the accompanying recognition letter is an incredible honor. I’m grateful that my work through 4C STEM Club to inspire young learners through STEM and community service has been recognized.
All summer long, I’ve been continuing to maintain our community Little Free Library by keeping it clean, organized, and stocked with books for readers of all ages.
It’s amazing how a small library can spark a love of reading and bring neighbors together.
August 5th, Had a great time at the Northbrook Farmers Market, bringing smiles to kids through face painting! Seeing their excitement and creativity made the day so rewarding. Grateful for every opportunity to connect with the community, and make someone’s day a little brighter.
August 4th, Proud to donate cleaned, label-free pill bottles to Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter to be repurposed in caring for animals in need. It’s rewarding to know that something as simple as a reused pill bottle can support both sustainability and animal care.
Every bottle has a purpose. I’ve been continuing to collect, clean, and remove labels from used pill bottles so they’re ready to be donated and reused where they’re needed most. Small, consistent actions can make a big difference for our communities and our planet.
August 4th, volunteering at the Buffalo Grove Museum was a wonderful experience! It was so much fun helping with art projects, getting creative with kids, and supporting a place that brings our community together. Every opportunity to serve is a chance to learn and inspire.
