Inflation YoY % Change
I mentioned a couple months ago we would likely start to see it going back down. This was back when OIL was moving up.
You can see the effects of the Fed are starting to take hold.
Disinflation is more likely than hyperinflation
An unprecedented $8.2T of US government debt will be maturing in the next 12 months, or 1/3 of the total Treasuries outstanding.
That is 3.5x more than what was net issued so far this year.
Keep in mind that the fiscal deficit next year would also require at least another $2T in addition to the $8.2T that needs to be re-issued.
BREAKING: CBOE will launch margined Bitcoin and Ether futures on January 11th, 2024.
This will make CBOE the first US regulated crypto exchange with spot and leveraged derivatives trading on a single platform.
Plans to expand beyond Bitcoin and Ether at a later date are supposedly in place.
Is sentiment toward crypto changing?
JUST IN: Bankruptcy documents show that WeWork, $WE, will immediately break 40 office leases in New York City.
Documents also show that WeWork plans to break leases on 70 properties in New York City.
The worst part?
40 of these locations are completely empty.
This comes less than 24 hours after the company filed bankruptcy.
Once a $47 billion company, WeWork still has 700 locations world wide.
The commercial real estate crisis is worsening.
JUST IN: The Korean tech index jumped 12% today after South Korea announced that short selling is banned until June 2024.
The index just posted its largest single-day gain in history.
This comes after the index was down a massive ~32% since July 26th.
To put this in perspective, this is similar to the Nasdaq jumping 12% in a single day.
In March, the US considered banning short selling of US regional banks.
Should banning short selling be allowed?
We are extremely lucky to be living through one of the greatest financial transformations in the history of humanity.
We have an opportunity to completely rid ourselves of the sovereign nations that control us.
We live during unprecedented times.
Gold --> Fiat --> #Bitcoin
Over the last 2 years, I have spent the majority of my time learning how to exit the current system.
Although I live and work as a functioning member of society within its borders, I save and accumulate my precious earnings outside.
My system of choice is external to the corruption of the fiat debauchery and the nightmare of over-regulation, burdensome taxes and flawed politics.
The vast majority of people contribute to a decomposing system. One that is built on lies and falsities. A rotted to the core, centralized, disaster.
It is exploited by the same people who claim self righteousness and altruistic character. They lie to the masses and the people believe it.
But in reality these people are more egotistical and centrist than anyone on this entire planet.
This is why I have chosen to opt out of the state controlled fiat currency that plagues the ENTIRE world.
My system of choice is absolute scarcity which cannot be altered by the wills one a single person, group or entity.
It requires the most REAL form of proof - WORK.
The current system is manipulated and skewed in favor of those who are in power - with the goal of directing the hard work of some into the lazy hands of others.
They will print TRILLIONS for their own benefit.
Fiat money is only money because the entity issuing it has 'complete authority' - by an arbitrary decree.
Have you truly met someone who worked hard and exploited others for their own benefit?
There is something HUMAN about the proof of work. It levels the playing field. It teaches you about your fellow man. It gives you respect for your neighbor.
Women spend 9 months growing and preparing for birth - there is no greater proof of work in life. Bearing and raising a child is the original proof of work.
Our lives are constrained by the reality of physics - why should our money exist in a system that does not abide by the laws of the universe?
The extraction and removal of gold requires work. It requires painstaking energy and dedication. A complete process from start to finish, one that cannot be cheated.
If I was a boomer, I would be a gold bug. I would be the biggest gold advocate there is - but we're not living in the past.
We're living during a digital transformation - information, education, music, knowledge and finance. Everything is being digitized.
Fiat currency rails have not adapted to the changing times. We still cannot transact on the weekends. The stock market closes every day. Society pretends this is ok.
We can't even audit our own government.
In 20-30 years - these things will be unthinkable.
Our parents and grandparents have sucked every ounce of value out of the currency and now millennials are stuck to deal with the pain of putting it back together. But we can't. The money is already broken.
Gold is old and fiat is dead. What's next?
Watch the debt clock. It grows exponentially. The money is running out of time. Yet everyone is pretending everything is ok.
The USA has been 52 years on a fiat standard and society is crumbling.
When I started investing I tried to understand the system. I knew what I was 'suppose' to do, but I couldn't.
I couldn't accept it as reality. I searched far and wide for the best opportunities. Until one day I found #Bitcoin.
It was then I realized it was time for me to secure my future and exit the system. I know now I live during unprecedented times.
There is not ONE path for everyone but there is ONE destination. I believe all money, assets and value will eventually converge on Bitcoin.
This is not financial advice. This is a window into my brain. How I see the world and why I chose this path.
#Bitcoin is your life raft.
Cheers 🍻
In 2022, the financial well-being of adults in the U.S. declined and inflation was a main economic challenge people were facing, according to @federalreserve Survey of Household Economics and Decisionmaking https://t.co/bPqIBM7TSV
This is unbelievable
Government spending is projected to continue trending higher for the next 30 years
But revenue is set to almost flatline during this period
The divergence between spending and revenue is going to lead to a BIG deficit for the US government
Unsustainability at its best
JUST IN: Mortgage demand is now down 50% from pre-pandemic levels and at its lowest level since 1994.
From its peak in 2021, mortgage demand is down ~64%.
Current mortgage demand is ~75% below the 2005 peak.
The most incredible part of this?
Mortgage rates are still only at their historical average.
Housing market activity is coming to a halt.
