@suezUK is there a plan in place for emptying bins when the sun brings all the extra visitors? The bins along Chalkwell seafront were overflowing yesterday from the day before and getting worse by 10am. No wonder we lost our clean beach flag 😢

400 jobs. A campus at the heart of a town. That’s worth fighting for.
If you agree, share this post, like it, and show your solidarity with our colleagues at University of Essex striking today.
Why the silence on this @networkrail? In the face of increasing public anger? These birds will have travelled around 14,000 miles when they return to their nesting holes - only to find them blocked up. Nature is increasingly squeezed into ever-shrinking spaces, forced to fit around our sprawling network of transport and housing and commerce. Please act NOW to rectify your thoughtless actions!

Today I’m coming on here not as a “charity”, but as a human who is feeling the weight of keeping something i’m so passionate about alive.
Dogs on the Streets was built with love, compassion, and a promise: no one gets left behind. Not the dogs. Not the people sleeping rough. Not the vulnerable community who lean on us when everything else has fallen away.
But I need to be honest with you today.
We are a small charity with big hearts, and right now we are carrying financial worries that are heavy.
The cost of everything has risen, and to keep doing what we do ,feeding, supporting, helping, responding to urgent calls, and even supporting larger charities and services who reach out to us for help , we need to raise £1,000 a day to survive.
We don’t have back office teams. We don’t have grant writers. We don’t have spare hands behind the scenes.
We just have us. And you. And a community that has always shown up.
If we can’t raise the funds, we won’t be able to continue at the level we are now , and that breaks my heart to even type.
So today I’m asking… Can we come together and raise £1,000 today?
£1.50 £5 £10 Anything at all
Every single pound helps keep food bowls full, dogs safe, people supported, and hope alive.
I’ll update you all this evening with what we’ve managed to raise via our PayPal link below and Thank you for reading.
Please share if you can , it truly makes a difference. 🧡
