Day 11

Father hinder, confuse, expose, and remove every wicked politician with evil intentions in Jesus’ name. They are wolves in sheep’s clothing (Matthew 7:15). “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” (Isaiah 8:20).

Father, You alone sit above the circle of the earth as the Judge and Redeemer of mankind and of nations (Isaiah 66). You and You ALONE are holy, great, fair, wise, and just. You are the Redeemer of men and nations. We lean not on our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5) and we trust in Your righteousness. Be our standard today (Isaiah 28:16-17).

Open the eyes of those pursuing a place of authority over us and save them from the sins they commit and perpetuate. Convict them of righteousness and judgment. Let them awaken today to the revelation of the risen Judge, Jesus Christ and may they confess with their lips that He is Lord (Philippians 2:11). Wash them in the terror of eternal damnation and separation from You. (Isaiah 59:2). Expose them to the consequences of their dishonesty and grant them transformational repentance that is found only in the shed blood of Christ and His cross (Romans 6:23). Help them to mend, restore, and rectify every evil they’ve committed against the people of this country.

Father, if there is no conscience left in them and their heart has turned to stone in defiance of grace and truth (Romans 1:24-27) we ask You to expose them and may no one surround them to insulate their evil works from being seen (Ephesians 5:13). May the wicked be found alone and without help.

Hinder them from carrying out their evil plans and bind their feet, hands, and mouths. Confuse their minds and let the wicked turn on themselves (Isaiah 49:26).

“Let his days be few, and let another take his office” (Psalm 109:8).

Day 9

Father, your word tells us that “For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisers” (Proverbs 11:14).

Today we come before You asking for a miracle: Change the hearts and minds of those make the decisions for our nation. Change their selfish motives for power and wealth into hearts that seek Your face. Let Truth and the glorious Revealer of that Truth, Your Holy Spirit, become their chief advisors. We know that the king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, Like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes (Proverbs 21:1).

Expose the evil strategies devised in the hearts of wicked men in secret places so that they might be humbled and brought to repentance. “There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known” (Luke 12:2). For we know that You are not mocked and what they sow in private they will reap in public (Galatians 6:7). Bring them low so that they might see their own wickedness and shame and be saved.

Forgive us for exalting fallen men and women and putting them in the roles that should be exclusively Yours. You alone are our Savior, Provider, Healer, and Lord. Forgive us for falsely believing that real hope can be found in a ballot box or an office of delegated authority. All power comes from YOU, O Lord, our God! (Psalm 62:11)

Grant us the wisdom to choose the leaders for our nation that will provide the greatest freedom for seeking You and remove every obstacle and device that would hinder them from being Your servant. We thank you Father for our nation and we ask You to spare it from falling into the hands of idolaters.
