@RedLReviews I really like the thematic through line of revenge consuming you through Harry, Sandman and the Symbiote and I don't want to change it. Do you think it would've been better if they split it into two movies?
@_TheSmartAlec1 It's always about the implications, never the characters themselves. Why can't it just be about two kids, both weighed down by responsibility and loss, finding some comfort in each other? There's just has to be some real deep-rooted misogyny in here.
@mis0b_ Nobru Koizumi really knock it out of the park and I don't think anyone else was fully able to strike that perfect balance of Oda's designs with his own flare as well as he did.
@J_Onaka I will never not be bitter over how much Donna Troy got screwed so hard from it; she had so much potential to be in the public perception, but instead, they just keeps sidelining her like she's a nobody.
@_TheSmartAlec1 I already considered The Painted Lady to be one of the more weaker episodes of the series, but seeing this makes me appreciate that episode so much more.
@_TheSmartAlec1 Idc how much they dislike Zuko/Mai, but his feelings for her are one of the main emotional baggage for him leaving the Fire Nation, and is also fundamental to Azula's downfall, and they put that all down the drain just to validate the fans who never grew out of their teen phase.
@RedLReviews Wonder Woman fans are the strongest soldiers for not burning down DC and Warner Bros considering how much she gets sidelined; the level of shade is so deep it's practically bottomless.
People will unironically see a character constantly lose and be miserable and lonely then DIE from their own actions but if the rest of the cast doesn’t sit them down intervention style to tell them they’re evil it’s Not Enough and it’s kinda crazy.
Seeing discourse around Jax from Amazing Digital Circus with the finale now out publicly is reminding me how many people have difficulty with purposefully messy characters who are shades of grey rather than black & white, in relation to being good/bad, victim/abuser, he/she, etc
And stuff like this is why I cannot stand all those tweets of "How dare Gooseworx make Jax sympathetic!!!!" Guess what chucklefucks, real life people can experience PTSD or trauma in a way that does make them lash out and hurt people....
Jax is a cautionary tale for a reason....
@_TheSmartAlec1 People want to try so hard to treat the characters as real people while demonizing the creator for daring to not see the same. They'll be saying, "Take Ragatha/Gangle/Zooble to a better show." Like these aren't real people, chill. You aren't going to hell feeling bad for Jax.
