Resident Evil is the only franchise where non-fans think they can tell Day Ones they don't deserve a proper adaptation of the source material.

Imagine a Tomb Raider movie with some guy named Trevor fighting vampires in Detroit then being told "it adapts the gameplay properly"

I didn't think it was possible, but Zach Cregger has hands-down created the worst Resident Evil protagonist in the franchise with Bryan Hodukavich and it's not even close.
