I've learned that what we can achieve together is so much greater than what we can achieve apart. That is the special power of being Council President: convening people with different experiences, expertises and interests around the same issue to form solutions that work for all.

I've never felt the need to tear someone down to lift myself up. Now more than ever, I believe our local lawmakers should set an example in Spokane: we're better than that. Regardless of belief or background, the Wilkersons treat everyone with the respect they deserve.

It’s been great being out in the community this week at the Spokane Regional Labor Rally, a conference for students at Central Library, passing out candy to students at West Central community center, and knocking on doors reminding people to vote! Have you voted yet?

I’m proud to have kept my promise and run a positive campaign.

Special-interests, though, have spent over $300K attacking me with nasty mailers and dishonest commercials.

I’ll never resort to fear tactics, and I know Spokane will see through it. 💙
