Cal 3 initiative easily qualified for the ballot as Proposition 9. Why do some want to stop you from voting? Why not let CA voices be heard? #VoteYESCal3#YESProp9 https://t.co/IfWUcbAv5z
Cal3 was a chance to create a conversation about changing the status quo. Ambivalence from the Attorney General, typical inaction from the State Legislature & an unprecedented ruling from the California Supreme Court denied voters that opportunity. https://t.co/yThQGdtjCN
Whether you are a Cal3 supporter or not, what transpired with the California Supreme Court yanking the initiative off the Nov. 6, 2018 ballot two weeks ago should disturb every California voter. https://t.co/EO1kTpizf1
216 MILLION spent by teachers unions on entrenched special interests over 22 years! How is this benefitting our students? Answer: It’s not. K-12 education is still ranked 44th in the U.S. @WeAreCTA

We rely on our water system and it’s totally broken. No oversight. No accountability. But shame on anyone who tries to change the status quo! https://t.co/6YD0UgZw53
Students shouldn't have to sue their schools to get an adequate education. But here in CA, it's needed. We're still 44th in the nation for K-12 education.@WeAreCTA https://t.co/BfGffTyiwO
"While some other states monitor water deliveries to farms in real time, California has allowed irrigation districts to submit annual reports on paper." The water system is broken. Cal 3 would have gone a long way to reforming it. https://t.co/6YD0UgZw53
"The whole point of the initiative process was to be set up as a protection from a government that was no longer representing its people. Now that protection has been corrupted... this is not the way democracies are supposed to work." Tim Draper
And CA is still ranked 44th in the nation for education. Wonder why? https://t.co/LY1bYhwWtE Cal 3 would have allowed smaller governments to oversee districts and improve the future for our children. @WeAreCTA
Why don't they want Californians to decide what is best for themselves and their future? It's simple: Trial attorneys, unions, special interests & political influence-peddlers are afraid. They are desperate to keep control, no matter the consequences for Californians.
The lawsuit to remove Cal3 is just another example of how Sacramento politicians, powerful unions and their high-priced lobbyists are trying to hold onto power at the expense of California voters. More than 600,000 wanted it on the ballot. Why are they trying to silence us?
That the political establishment worked so hard to keep Cal 3 away from voters proves our point: These special interests are desperate to keep power rather than fix things. Californians had a right to be heard on whether the state should pursue further progress on Cal 3.
Though the Court’s ruling was disappointing, what matters is that the problems in California that we identified aren’t going away and will only increase. Millions of you agreed, and we are proud to know you were partners in the coalition. More ahead in 2020!

We are as disappointed as you are about the Court’s decision to deny Californians the right to express themselves about the Cal 3 issue through the vote this November. Thanks to every Californian who supported Cal 3 along the way. More ahead in 2020!
“We’re in a death spiral.” Our state’s largest school district is on the brink of financial disaster & cutting programs for needy students, yet union leaders “are not ready” to compromise. Who’s watching out for our K-12 students?! https://t.co/LdvB6j2O2D #VoteYesCal3#YESProp9
There is no California if residents can’t afford to live here. #Cal3 would encourage each state to set lower tax rates and encourage families and employers to make their home here instead of pushing them out. #VoteYesCal3#YESProp9 https://t.co/k5bzijBntm
The CA Dept of Ed. simply cannot manage 6.2 million students, nearly 300,000 teachers & more than 1,000 school districts. #VoteYesCal3 to bring decision-making closer to home, give states a fresh start and families better choices, with greater accountability and outcomes.
“California’s infrastructure is falling apart, our schools are failing and our state leaders are out of touch with our most pressing regional needs.”
#VoteYesCal3 to give our state a fresh start and more localized attention. #YESProp9 https://t.co/mfFGwkPDto
