On D-Day, we remember the extraordinary courage of those who stormed the beaches of Normandy and faced impossible odds in defense of freedom and democracy.
Today, we honor the service members who risked everything on June 6, 1944, and all those who have answered the call to serve our country. May we carry forward their legacy by standing up for our communities, for one another, and for the democratic values they fought to defend.
Thank you to everyone who attended, organized, and supported this event. Change happens when people come together, get involved, and refuse to accept the status quo. The momentum is real, and we’re just getting started.
A huge thank you to LEAD Locally for hosting an incredible evening in support of Fern Leard and the fight to protect our communities from harmful policies that put corporate profits ahead of people.
Each speaker brought a unique perspective to the conversation, united by a shared belief that government should work for people, not powerful special interests, and that communities deserve a voice in the decisions that affect their future.
