It’s not something I talk about often, but as someone who has struggled with stuttering since childhood, and has taken great pains to hide it as an adult and to avoid its triggers, I’m never more moved than when Pres Biden inspires kids like the one I was to dream.
Harry, I’ve struggled with a stutter all of my life. Thank you for telling me about yours, and don’t let anyone tell you it will stop you from achieving your dreams.
I’m proud of you.
Today, in 2002, the Cincinnati Black United Front, the American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio Foundation, Inc., the City of Cincinnati, and the Fraternal Order of Police, entered into the Collaborative Agreement which brought about the creation of the Citizen Complaint Authority.
My heart breaks for Tyre Nichols and his family. And I’m angry, not only at the cruel cowards that brutally took his life, but also at a system that failed him and has failed too many of us. True justice requires accountability and acknowledgment that we can/must prevent this.

Haven’t seen this elsewhere, but Prosecutor Joe Deters told a Cleveland TV station he will enforce Ohio’s six-week abortion ban. https://t.co/h36kcBwPYV
“Our rate illustrates the value + importance of having the investigators we have now,” said CCA's executive director. “In 2021, we went from 2-3 investigators to 4-5 investigators, and just adding those paid off tremendously.”

Tragically, today’s decision will lead directly to the widespread criminalization of reproductive healthcare. Forced pregnancy is not justice. Banning abortion access is not justice. We cannot, must not, and will not, cede the final word.
SHUTDOWN THE SWITCHBOARD: Senators released a bipartisan framework for gun safety legislation! Our grassroots army is ready to fight like hell to make sure it becomes law. 26 years for federal action on gun safety is unacceptable. #DontLookAway https://t.co/ECnGPkcfnD
In the past two weeks alone, three horrific mass shootings killed 19 children and two teachers in Texas; one Taiwanese-American churchgoer in California and ten Black shoppers in New York.
We don’t have to live like this. No other country in the world does.
This father is exhausted and furious. Our children are not safe. We are stuck in an endless loop of do-nothingness. We need new gun safety laws and regulations now. Gun violence is preventable. The failure to act is unforgivable.
Once again a hate-filled extremist with a gun has carried out a massacre. My prayers are with Buffalo and the victims. This is why we have to talk about racism. This is why we have to talk about guns. And this is why we have to do something.
Gabe is a true servant-leader and friend. His work in the Obama administration, and now for the City of Cincinnati, has always been about how to help keep our communities safe. It means a lot to me to have his support for our campaign! @VoteGabeDavis
