MEMORIAL DAY TRIBUTE at ELMHURST, QUEENS
Today, we paid our respects to our fallen heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation's freedom. Our gratitude goes to James McMenamin, Angela and the entire team for their efforts in organizing this tribute.
Memorial Day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by so many in service to our country, and provides us with an opportunity to express our gratitude. Regardless of the current global situation, we must acknowledge our appreciation for their courage and service. Today, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that our fallen heroes are never forgotten.
This tribute will serve as a source of inspiration for our younger generation, who will carry on the fight for our freedom.
Corona, Queens: The Restore Roosevelt Avenue coalition has continually highlighted the need for more security and enforcement across the Roosevelt Avenue corridor. Today, they joined with clergy and community members demanding the padlocking of the notorious Bodega-Brothel.
Attention: We need the public’s help locating 7-year-old Ruwaid, who was last seen earlier today near 73rd Street and Broadway in Jackson Heights. If you see him, please call 911 immediately.

QUEENS GAZETTE Reports: ‘Organized Crime Continues’
Community calls on FBI and DEA to move in on Roosevelt Avenue. April 16, 2025
The Restore Roosevelt Avenue Coalition held a press conference in front of an “active brothel” located at 89-22 Roosevelt Avenue in Elmhurst/Jackson Heights. The group is calling upon the FBI and DEA to initiate an investigation and take enforcement action with regards to “the coordinated activity by international criminal organizations which includes human trafficking, the distribution and sale of Schedule 1 narcotics, the distribution and sales of fraudulent U.S. government documents, identity theft, illegal gun sales, and the perpetration of violent crimes. All of which is centered on Roosevelt Avenue in Queens, much of it in plain sight.”
Bicycle ridership is down because of RECKLESS eBIKES. Women & men have stopped riding bikes because eBike operators are not following the Rules of the Road & thus making the streets dangerous for all. Protected bike lanes will not solve this problem. Priscilla's Law will. #PassPriscillasLaw

Last night marked a significant milestone as we submitted 2200 signatures to the Board of Elections, securing a place on the ballot for the June 24th Democratic primary.
This accomplishment would not have been possible without the support of the 2200 district residents who signed my petition, indicating their eagerness for change. I am deeply grateful to all 2200 residents and the many petitioners, volunteers, and friends who invested their time and effort to bring this to fruition.
Together we can bring about positive change to our community.
A million thanks to ALL!

We are re-engaging in the fight to restore Roosevelt Avenue. This morning, we held a press conference outside the Palladium bar in Corona, a known illegal brothel situated next to two houses of worship. This circumstance is completely intolerable and requires a unified response to demand an end to this lawlessness and the decline of our quality of life. It is imperative that our children are not forced to walk by this overt attack on our community. We have been ignored long enough by our local elected and we will not stop until we restore the quality of life we all deserve!

Thousands of NYC workers were fired over Covid 19 vaccine mandates who to this day have not been reinstated. We must fight to give back full restitution to ALL NYC employees affected by this decision who were terminated due to non-compliance with this Covid 19 requirement.
New York City Council resolution 0005-2024 is calling for NYS legislature to pass S.7466-A to reinstate the thousands of city employees affected.
I fully support this resolution and call upon our local city council member @voteshekar and other council members to show their support to our hardworking city employees now!
Let’s unite to give back these hardworking New Yorkers the dignity they deserve!
Our NYC workers are the backbone of our city and should not be ignored or abandoned.
