Public School Educator. Iraq Veteran. Running for State Representative because I see a bright future for Saline County families, workers, students and veterans.
I know what it’s like to serve a community and to fight for something. I’m a public school teacher, an Iraq War veteran, and a lifelong Arkansan.
I’m running for State Representative because I see a bright future for our families in Saline County. https://t.co/hFZbVxQEzk
So proud of my students at historical Central High! They know how bad #ArkansasLEARNS will be for students, parents, and teachers who rely on public schools.
It's #ElectionDay! You can vote at any voting location in Saline County until 7:30 PM. I’ve served you in uniform in Iraq, I’ve served you in public school classrooms for the last 20 years, and now I’m running to serve you in the State House of Representatives. #VoteRoy
I’ve served you in Iraq, I’ve served you in public school classrooms for the last 20 years, and now I’m running to serve Saline County in the State House of Representatives.
Today is the LAST day to early vote. And Election Day is tomorrow! #VoteRoy
We deserve someone who will fight for all of Saline County.
It’s time to fight, and I’m the man for the job, from East End to the plush subdivisions of Bryant.
When you cast your vote early or on November 8th, remember: #voteroy
Arkansas – we have just 30 DAYS until Election Day!

Saline County, get your mailboxes ready! Our next patch of postcards should be arriving soon! Big thanks to the Saline County Democratic Party for the help and your support!
Alright Team Roy – I need your help and support this Saturday as we get out and knock on some doors. If we can win in Saline County, we can so the entire state that Arkansans are ready for leaders focused on the issues that matter.

As a teacher for the past two decades, I love nothing more than visiting students in the classroom, especially in Saline County. Our schools here are good, but we need to keep investing in our teachers and students. That’s what I'll do in the legislature.

Join me as we hit the streets and talk to voters this Saturday in Alexander!
When: Saturday, October 8th from 9-11AM
Where: Alexander City Park. 15551 Robert Evans Rd, Alexander, AR 72002
See you there! #voteroy
Unfortunately, my opponent has run on national talking points, like unrealistic tax cuts and silly culture wars.
My promise to you is that I will focus on improving our schools, veterans services, and our healthcare so we can move Saline County Forward.
I decided to run for State House because I see real issues that need fixing in Saline County. When I talk to community leaders and our neighbors, this is what they want our state government to be focused on.
It’s hard not to think about the sacrifices of the Little Rock Nine when I walk down the halls they first walked on this day 65 years ago. Without their selfless dedication, I and many of my colleagues would not be able to teach in this historic place.
YARD SIGNS ARE HERE - and we’re ready to blanket Saline County with these. If you’d like to show your support for our campaign, email us at [email protected] and we’ll deliver one right to you!
We had a great time at our campaign fundraiser Monday at Trio’s.
I’d like to give A VERY special thanks to my future colleagues who are ready to see a forward thinking and moving Saline County.

Saturday morning football supporting the Bryant Hornets and canvassing the stands. My nephews are READY for game day! 🏈🏈
It’s always great spending time with my Saline County constituents!
#VoteRoy in November. Early voting begins October 24th!
With two of my heroes - Senator Joyce Elliott (@xjelliott) and Representative Jamie Scott (@Anointed08). I'm humbled to have their support in this election.
My opponent was against raising our worst-in-the-South educator pay. And our current representation in Saline County voted to pack up and leave Little Rock without even considering helping our teachers. Shame on every legislator that chose to end that session early.
For the first time in over a decade, we can win a State House in Saline County. Just imagine the statement we could send when we win this election.
It’s going to be a lot of labor, for sure, but I’m already doing that tough work.
Will you join me? [email protected]
Straight out of High School, I answered the call to military service. For as long as I could remember, I felt a pull towards serving my country. Today, I'm thinking about those I served with, including those who didn't come home. #NeverForget#September11
My name is Roy Vaughn — public school teacher, Iraq War Veteran, and lifelong Arkansan.
I’m running for State Representative because I see a bright future for Alexander, Bryant, Shannon Hills, and Vimy Ridge. If we win this race, we can show Democrats how to win in Arkansas.
