This is the truth. @OsseChi and @votejgr tell it like it is.
Make no mistake: there is only one Jessica in this race who will lead with integrity, honesty, & principle in the state Senate. That’s Jessica González-Rojas.
Early voting is happening now. Election Day is June 23rd.
This violates every major tenet of consumer protection law.
Fans paid for tickets, booked flights, reserved hotels, and made travel plans in good faith.
Canceling those tickets after the fact raises serious concerns about detrimental reliance and basic fairness. No fan should be punished for wanting to root for their team.
And to be clear: Knicks in 5.

My staff had a great time viewing @Streetfilms “Close Encounters of the 34th Avenue Kind: The Story of NYC’s Best Open Street,” an important film about our open street and what it means for our community.
I had a great time on Wednesday celebrating the opening of Big Bowls! I met the owner of Big Bowls, a former City Council Member from New Jersey, when I walked into the restaurant the other day because their purple sweet potatoes caught my eye- their bowls are fantastic!
As the World Cup starts and the NBA finals are in full swing– I joined @SpeakerMenin and my @NYCCouncil Colleagues to warn tourists about scams.
Our taxi drivers, pedicab drivers, and ticket sellers are doing things the right way– with licenses.
Paseo Park showed UP! Our open street is the gold standard of open streets– today was an example of why.
I’m proud to represent one of the most diverse communities in the world & celebrate the 1st game of the World Cup! A huge thank you to all City Agencies for a smooth event.
.@SummerStage you are always so much fun!! Thank you @CPFNYC for always putting on such a great show in Central Park. Check out their schedule for events across NYC this summer!
🧡 The city that never sleeps deserves an administration that doesn’t either!
⚽ During the summer of soccer, our team will be out with the fans, making sure all New Yorkers know their rights at work.

Following today’s report, @CMShekarK and I issued the following statement: “This Council stands with workers and will continue to fight to ensure all app-based drivers have basic due process protections, so they are not unfairly deprived of their livelihoods without notice or an opportunity to appeal. We look forward to these protections being upheld in court.”

Yesterday, the Council's Oversight and Investigations Division released a report investigating these scams.
As your Oversight Chair, I will hold these illegal companies accountable and stand up for New York workers.
Our taxi drivers, pedicabs, & ticket sellers are the faces that tourists associate with NYC.
Having unlicensed & scam vendors take advantage of tourists by selling them fake tickets or driving without licenses hurts workers who are following the law & treating tourists right.
