@homan510173214 Definitely, some concerns, one of my family member were receiving physio consultation and they were very concerned about their form when doing the exercises, which could have led to an injury as the physio was not physically there to examine them doing the exercise #HSBH2009
@Jasboggg Agreed, you really need to maintain a balance in order to gain the most benefit from a social media detox. From now on I use social media only to keep in touch with my close friends and family yet not too much to the point where it negatively affects my mental health. #HSBH2009
Week 7 I learned about the benefits of social media detox and its benefits, however, social media is now essentially ingrained in our lives and people need to connect with their loved ones. so the best alternative to detox is time-limiting yourself on these platforms. #HSBH2009
@Jasboggg Me too, I have also tried it for a few days as well. Although it has a lot of advantages I would say that the biggest disadvantage was not being in contact with my close friends and family members, everyone got a little bit worried because I was not responding. #HSBH2009
I have been buying prescriptions for my parents for quite a while now and in recent years, rather than getting a physical prescription paper, I have started using electronic scripts. It makes things so much easier. Learn more about them here. #HSBH2009

The other day I needed to provide evidence for my vaccinations and while I forgot to bring them with me, thankfully I could access them through the Medicare App. This made me realise lucky we are to have e-health and how convenient it is to access our health data now. #HSBH2009
I wanted to share this app called easy diet diary, as it has helped me a lot these past few months in tracking my diet and macro intake. This Just highlights the positive impact of technology and how apps such as these can help us eat better. #HSBH2009
Having been on the internet, I often use βDr googleβ for most of my health concerns(I know I shouldn't), so I came across something a little more reliable called health direct symptom checker which is a government-funded service and more reliable.#HSBH2009

In relation to the recent hurricanes experienced by Southwest Florida, I wanted to highlight the role telehealth has played in dealing with this natural disaster and the positive impact #telehealth has had in providing medical advice to people in need. #HSBH2009
Hurricane Ian will make landfall in Southwest Florida this afternoon. Avoid danger, stay indoors. Emergency? π911. If you call during a time of high winds, Lee County has chief medical staff to provide medical advice and assist. Non-urgent 911 will be connected to Telehealth.
@RlCHlEVO Agreed, these are some important considerations for clinicians to think about. However, we can't deny that VR has the potential to improve care, especially improving access to care as I can see VR reducing costs for many treatments and in turn increasing access to care. #HSBH2009
Learning more about Virtual Reality and its role in health care, I came across this article which discusses the use of VR in psychiatry, more specifically its use in delivering exposure therapy to people with phobias. Any thoughts? #HSBH2009

@RlCHlEVO I agree with this, the potential is huge. However, I think it is important for clinicians to assess at what point in the treatment VR use is appropriate for a patient's treatment stage because jumping straight into VR exposure thrreapy can be problematic. #HSBH2009
This week I realised how technology can really impact health in different ways. Road fatalities being one of the most common causes of death among young adults, I see a huge potential for VR in promoting safe driving to new drivers and having a positive impact on health #HSBH2009
Week 8 learning about games and healthcare got me thinking about #gamification and how it can motivate better gym performances and step counts. Using smartwatches, people can share activities & compete with other people as well. #HSBH2009
In my clinical placements, I have had the opportunity to use the Electronic medical record (EMR) first-hand. There is a lot of controversy around its use (time-consuming). Personally, I feel that this point is overexaggerated and the benefits are often overlooked.
