Alright, I finally set up my Carrd, so it's time to introduce myself again!
I'm Princess Connie, the VTuber Connoisseur! I do cosplay, stream games, and do my best to support my friends, and I'm excited to meet you 🩷

@serenrenity XD
This popped up the exact moment my internet stopped working, so I clicked into it and thought 'oh, ha ha, you put a screenshot of a video player to troll people into thinking there's a video'
@HeyoTeo Your fine, you weren't trying to upset anyone or anything
There's a big difference between doing something like that on purpose and doing it on accident
THIS.
As a trans girl, I've talked to therapists as both a male presenting individual and a female presenting individual, and the difference is astounding.
As a girl, therapists try to help fix my problems, as a guy therapists assumed I was the problem and tried to fix me
It was so jarring to go from 'you need to consider how your trauma could be causing you to hurt others' to 'I'm going to try and help you'
Men are not welcomed enough into the mental health space in America.
They are reluctant to ask for help from a female dominated field that spends their days labeling husbands they’ve never met as “narcissistic” to wives who are processing their own trauma and experiences.
It’s hurting marriages in the long run, as marriage counseling often feels like a battle for who gets to be deemed as righteous.
And more urgently, it’s hurting men.
Men have about a 4x higher rate of suicide in the United States.
1 on 1 talk therapy is not always healthy or balanced.
Therapists have biases.
Patients have biases.
Men, I highly suggest group therapy options to hear life experiences and feelings from other men. It’s comforting.
If you can’t deal with the field, use their resources. Build DBT skills online, work through a cognitive behavioral worksheet, begin to track your thoughts in a journal, observe yourself.
There are options, but the rhetoric has to change. It’s killing people.
