@ItsQuinnyMyers Participant being aware or not that art contests are ethical issue is not relevant. It is still speculative work, stealing labor while disrespecting artists worth, irregardless of the contest rules. It applies to all of them.

Artists are the beating heart of the Vtuber community. It wouldn't be what it is without them. Hard work deserves good compensation. I can guarantee you, no one is missing any business.

The only ethical fix would be to compensate every single artist. But I am not naive, I know it isn't possible.

So. What is the solution to this issue? For Silvervale's contest there is none. The damage is done. Hopefully, she won't use any design created but I'm sceptical that this was her intent from the beginning. 15/
