@mws Smart because YT was missing out on stream revenue from smaller creators. I’m like 99% sure that’s why they made this change. They want everyone with any community at all to be able to access fan funding.
@AyoTaledo I’d like to add that skills matter a lot. You do well because you’re great at scripting and editing. You already know how to make enticing thumbnails and titles. This is what a lot of creators actually lack- not a fancy model.
WE ARE QUEER AND WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE 🌈
Censor this all you want but Today(6/10) at 11am(pdt) an amazing group of LGBTQIA+ creators will be gracing my Twitch channel. I'm proud of them and myself for living up this way for Pride Month. Hope to see you all there 🏳️🌈
I’ve sung on stage multiple times in my life, and every time there was soundcheck. Like…how nerve wracking to know your audio folks aren’t with you! Musicians really depend on you!
🌈LGBTQIA+ Vtuber Showcase

HAPPY PRIDE EVERYONE!!
Let me add: As of how YouTube is right now, please make video content if you move over. It’s going to be extremely tough if all you do is stream. I recommend making Shorts if you’re primarily a streamer! Look at what folks like Punkalopi do.
For anyone wanting to move to YouTube from twitch but are afraid of the monetization requirements, don’t be. The 4,000 watch hours seems like a lot but it will come a lot faster than you think especially through streaming consistently (1/3)
The guidelines didn’t seem all that confusing…but if they would like to change their policy back to something more reasonable, that’s great 👍. Don’t get me wrong: I’m happy platforms like Twitch exist & give creators opportunity. That’s why I joined the folks voicing concern.
Big Twitch-based VTubers already do well on YouTube, so it honestly won’t be hard for them to switch if they want to. I think Twitch assumes they can continue to get away with revenue-generating policies that affect streamers’ incomes. I wonder if they can?
Twitch has new Branded Content Guidelines.
- On-stream logos are limited to 3% of screen size.
- Burned-in video Ads are NOT allowed.
- Burned-in Display Ads are NOT allowed.
- Burned-in Audio Ads are NOT allowed.

This video is excellent. I will make my own version sharing my perspective & diving deeper into some of the things discussed. The ideas and editing quality of this channel are great & I’m hoping I can improve to this level too. Thank you for inspiring me.
