one thing nobody tells you about ambition is how isolating it can get.

when you’re figuring things out together, everybody has time but when you start taking your goals seriously, your availability changes.

when i did started taking my goals seriously.. i missed a lot of plans, i said no more, i spent my weekends working while everybody else is outside and i started losing people. and it's true that that part hurts, esp when you never wanted to lose them but i don't think the answer is to go back to the old version of yourself just cos it had more company.

One of the most interesting scenes in the Vikings Series is when he approached the seer and he was told to his face “Only the dead will enter Paris.”

Most men would have walked away shaking their heads. Not Ragnar. He took the prophecy at face value and decided to use it.

He ordered his men to build a fine wooden coffin. Then he lay down inside it, still as stone, and let them close the lid.

His warriors carried the box right up to the gates of Paris, calling out that their great leader had died and wished to be buried as a Christian inside the city walls.

The Franks, wary but curious, opened the gates. They let the coffin pass. Once inside the cathedral, Ragnar’s men set the box down.

In a flash Ragnar threw off the lid, jumped out alive, and cut down the guards. His warriors poured in behind him. The gates swung wide, and the Viking army flooded the streets.

Ragnar had pulled a fast one on the whole city. He had walked into Paris by playing dead, and the prophecy came true in the only way that mattered.

Nowadays, they no longer make series like Vikings.

Wow. Really good first 30 minutes from Chelsea in this game. Brentford all about defending long balls, set pieces and cut backs and winning duels and we have done that well so far. Henderson been good.
