@MaxHirsch13 The different UIs part can be solved. I think there might be a group of consumers who will enjoy having a “home page” AI/assistant/agent/central command center. Seems like a great way of introducing the concept of agents to consumers.

@toyinomotoso Copy is so important, it’s clearer to see its importance when you run ads.

Afrobeats And Its Links To US Secret Intelligence

Have you ever found yourself wondering why Afrobeats - the joyful soundtrack to the "Africa Rising" era from the late 2000s through the early 2010s - seems to have lost much of its energy and lustre of recent? Does it seem to you like the music no longer belongs to the fans and has become a distant, expensive product that nobody can relate with anymore?

You are not imagining it - in fact the reality of what has happened to Afrobeats is a lot darker than you would possibly imagine. Far from just a fresh music genre that embodied the sounds and aspirations of a new generation across the continent, it has been coopted into the arsenal of the US government's extensive foreign influence and interference tools. In fact, your favourite Afrobeats artist, as incredible as it sounds, most likely now has a handler permanently assigned to them by the US State Department.

In this special report, The Spearhead Senior Reporter Mckay Chukwu examines a story that has been hiding in plain sight for years, detailing the State Department's well-funded cultural interference infrastructure which has been deployed all over the Global South to bend entire populations and their governments toward the foreign policy goals of the US government.

@onlinedopamine True crime is another category that would probably print.

Game theory pretty much proves that the long game is not a strategy most people can execute at all. That's because it tends to require a negative short-term position in exchange for a real advantage later. Most people cannot commit to this because their threat-detection system reads current loss as an existential failure. And that's vicious short-sightedness. It leads them to optimize for visible progress and sacrifice their real position. The people who constantly win rarely have better information. Instead, they accept that losing now will pay off later. Never quit a game before it starts.

South African eco has been weak for decades but for known reasons- draggy govt. Therein, agriculture is proving a model of resilience, able to bounce back from setbacks: drought, animal disease, etc. Herein I explore driving factors.– via African Farming. https://t.co/rMwJQCIXRc

@matsila Seems to be loanbook growth and operational leverage on their side (interest income growing because of bigger loan book, overshadowing faster opex growth. I’ve been hearing their name pop up a lot lately with every big transaction locally and on the continent.

Two weeks ago, I resigned from OpenAI to join Conduit as a founding researcher, where we're training models to non-invasively read the human mind.

I've written some thoughts about what telepathy could look like by 2035 and how to get there:

@Samkelisiwe_MS_ I’ve been thinking about starting it.

What many don’t want to acknowledge is that the burden of immigration (illegal or legal) often rests on the shoulders of the poor.

They need to compete for access to schools, clinics, water, electricity, housing etc.

Since I’m in energy, I’ll use load reduction to illustrate.

[Vukile Mkhize @Vukile_Mkhize]

@tlalane I got them because it feels like I’m missing out on the moment and not being present every time I take out my phone to capture a moment. They have a light you can’t turn off when capturing something to indicate to the other party that you’re filming then.

@0xROAS Seems like ads are just evolving to being just about “creativity” even more than before. We have access to the same tools but our creativity’s is not the same. This is sort of like PG’s take on the importance of taste.
