@CornelWest I would vote for you in a heartbeat if you were running in a different party. As is, I just can't do it in all good conscience. Swap parties, and you'll have my support
Only call 9-1-1 for emergencies. Do not call 9-1-1 to find out if you’ve missed an evacuation notice. Find the evacuation map at: https://t.co/T0T5T8hGWS. #McIverFire@clackamascounty@Clackamas911

@JimJournalist Good riddance. They were likely commissioned by a racist doctor that used them to spread his message of eugenics. I'm 14th gen Georgian, and I'm glad to see them go. How about we get a monument that isn't racist to replace it
@RinainDC This is absolutely about politics. Politics are life. If you're so pro-freedom then why are you a member of an autocratic party? Sounds to me like you need to reevaluate your ethics. Have fun shilling for the people giving you less rights than a corpse
@Oregonian It's still not enough! $15 was what the min. wage should've been back in 2005 when this fight started. It should be around $25+/hr. Living here is unaffordable as is. It should be a thriving wage, not a starvation wage; it's just higher enough to keep you from qualifying for aid
@asampdx@wweek Yep. One of my friends' parents died of it 3 weeks ago. This thing isn't over by a long shot. Folks would just rather stick their heads in the sand than give a damn about the fellow human beings
@wweek No, she didn't. Me refusing to stop wearing masks is what saved my life. All she's done is financially prop up my land lords and cause my rent to rise. I'm a leftist, but Gov Brown hasn't done much of anything to make my life better
@POTUS $10,000 of student loan forgiveness per borrower is pathetic! That won't even get rid of my interest, and you also haven't specified if it's coming out of the principal or not. You'll not be getting my vote in 2022 or 2024 unless you do better. Don't means test it either
A group of members of Congress is proposing a binding vote to decide whether Puerto Rico should become a state or gain some sort of independence.
The proposal would face an uphill battle in the Senate, where Republicans have long opposed statehood. https://t.co/cODzVNSzL5
@tedwheeler So you'll declare an emergency to deal with trash, but you wouldn't do it for a historic heat wave or to deal with the skyrocketing rent prices. What a joke
