A LETTER TO MY SONS IN MINISTRY
My sons,
Receive this as counsel from a father, not suspicion from a critic. I do not doubt the oil upon your lives. But I have lived long enough around ministry to know that a man may have a genuine Call while nursing an appetite that will eventually profane it.
Satan does not always begin by stopping a man from preaching. Sometimes he permits him to preach, grow, trend and gather men, while quietly corrupting the reason he wants the microphone.
He watches what happens within you when another minister is invited and your name is omitted. He observes the irritation you conceal when another man’s work begins to flourish. He studies your appetite for titles, platforms, proximity to great men, large crowds and public honour.
Then he begins to speak to those appetites:
“You are too anointed to remain hidden.”
“You are bigger than this place.”
“Nobody here understands your grace.”
“You do not need anyone over you.”
And if ambition has not passed through the Cross, something within you will answer, “Exactly!”
My sons, that inward agreement is where the trouble begins.
Suddenly, correction sounds like dishonour. Submission feels like captivity. The caution of a father appears to be jealousy. Hiddenness begins to look like rejection, and every delay is interpreted as an attack against your destiny.
Before long, you will begin to announce that GOD has sent you, when it was ambition that sent you.
You call it “a new season,” but GOD never opened that season. You call it “apostolic emergence,” but it is only an unbroken appetite searching for a platform.
Hear your father: not every departure is a sending. Sometimes a man is only escaping the government that was sent to preserve him.
My sons, be careful also of the pleasure of being desired.
A young minister begins to enjoy the attention of women. He tells himself, “They are only attracted to the grace.” He prolongs private conversations with the Ladies, permits emotional dependence and continues counselling a woman whose affection for him has become obvious.
Then Satan suggests one inappropriate conversation, and an appetite that has been secretly fed agrees with it. Before long, the same man who is praying loudly in public is deleting messages in private.
Stop calling every woman “Jezebel.” She may have crossed a boundary, but you must also admit that something within you enjoyed being wanted.
Some ministers did not fall because they stopped loving GOD. They fell because they also loved being admired, and they never brought that appetite under the government of CHRIST.
Do not flatter yourself because women are drawn to your ministry. Guard your soul. Guard your marriage. Guard the sacred boundaries of your calling. No amount of oil upon your head makes your flesh trustworthy.
Another minister discovers that certain messages produce invitations, honourariums and public celebration. Gradually, he stops preaching anything that may offend those financing his visibility.
Satan does not ask him to deny JESUS publicly. He only persuades him to edit out the parts of JESUS that may reduce engagement.
He still mentions CHRIST, but repentance disappears.
He still prophesies, but he no longer Teaches about sin.
He still carries a Bible, but Mammon has become the editor of his sermons.
My sons, the day money begins to determine what part of Scripture you are willing to preach, you are no longer standing under the government of the Word. You are negotiating with another master.
Consider Judas.
Judas was numbered among the Twelve. He heard CHRIST directly. He witnessed miracles and participated in apostolic ministry. Yet John 12:6 reveals that he was already stealing from the ministry purse.
Before Satan entered Judas in John 13:27, greed had already secured an agreement within him.
Satan did not create an entirely new appetite that night. He entered through a desire Judas had repeatedly protected.
“If you saw the cash these people brought to the election that day, if they had gotten away with that election, Nigeria would have been finished by now because the blue print of Nigerian election would have been vi0l£nce and vote buying. We didn’t spend a dime on the Election Day. Akpabio and Aliko Dangote called me to delete my tweet. My uncle should be an example to other Govs. With all odds against us, my uncle still won. Even my dad was praying and fasting 7 times a day for my uncle”
@ILoveNiceArts @Lynkonlarex@CFCPys@kierangill_DM This is crazy beacuse I don’t think we have any CB that successfully drives forward than him… Talking about composure
@arsenalbabe_ This Zubimendi that played his worse game when Chelsea were a man down against Arsenal with Caicedo sent off, and Reece James winning the man of the match ..😂
@CFCPys I will just take my heart away from the games for the next 3-4 years of this crusade until the fans can’t take it anymore and publicly demand for change in ownership
