2 years since I stood on the stage at @TEDxGlasgow to get 2000+ people talking about menstruation.
Here's my talk on #periodpoverty ๐

We were sorry to hear of the passing of Jeane Freeman at the weekend.
She played a pivotal role in the creation of Social Security Scotland and was passionate about placing dignity, fairness and respect at the heart of everything we do.

Always three steps ahead of any room she was in, Jeane Freeman was a proper values-driven politician of the old school. My tribute to the warm, dryly funny and generous woman that so many of us knew and will miss - her beloved @Scotto_Voce most of all.

I am heart sore this morning at the death of Jeane Freeman, a wonderful Cabinet colleague @scotgov. Jeane gave selfless service to Scotland especially as Health Secretary during Covid. In designing Scotlandโs social security system, she put dignity and respect at its heart. [1/2]
@Philips I'm stuck in a loop with your service desk, can someone get in touch to assist or can you provide signposting to the complaints process, thanks.
@millihill Well I wouldn't be able to thank you for writing "give birth like a feminist" if it wasn't for this terrible app. Had the dreamiest home birth and felt very extremely empowered understanding the medical landscape and it's tensions for birthing mamas. So cheers Milli!
Only learning of the passing of Alice this evening. Not online as much these days.
Her activism and contribution in the disability rights space was powerful and educational to so many. Rest in Power hen x
๐งต Rest in power, Alice Wong. @SFdirewolf. A trailblazer, a fierce advocate, and a relentless voice for disability rights. Her work changed the landscape for so many. /1
@JennyAThatcher For all the stories about the Gorbals that could bring a tear to a glass eye, it's given me an abundance of grit that's done me well. As my mum would say "don't forget your arse".
I voted for the Right to Addiction Recovery (Scotland) Bill today, alongside my Scottish Labour colleagues.
Itโs shameful this Bill was voted down, denying MSPs the opportunity to amend and test the Bill at later stages.
Meanwhile our friends and loved ones die. A dark day.
@KilkennyChris@RangersFC Sorry this happened to her. The clubs supporters made a big deal about it being a #periodpositive club/stadium a few years ago. Shame they haven't kept it up.
@mikedailly I think it's fair to ask "has sexual assault been unofficially decriminalized? Why are we so laizze-faire about apprehending a licensed cab driver who is more than reachable
